Ford Customer Service is out to lunch as usual. Contacted for another reason I asked about audio updates to the firmware. Was informed I would have to get the dealer to update, and it was not possible using OTA updates.
Today, I tried again, and while poking around, made sure WiFi was connected, and queried for software updates. Got nothing back, so wen to look at currently installed versions. Backed out to the software update screen with 3 selections.
Looked away from the sreen to turn off the headlights while parked in the garage, and when I looked back, firmware update had started to download. I waited until it got to 100%, and then backed out of the screen. Turned off the key, and left it alone.
Locked the door a moment ago(remote) and will check back later to see if the update took effect.
Very well documented steps and procedures.

And customer service must feel like mushrooms. Customers? Don't bother us with customer questions, we have better things to do. Feed b.s. to the customers, too.
Previous time I called to note that retrieving the 'entry code' established at the factory for the keyless entry did not work after following the procedure noted in the OM. They reiterated the same instructions. I gave up. Followed them exactly, and got exactly the same result. Nothing.
Still unable to retrieved the keyless entry factory programmed code. But. I did find the plastic card with the number printed upon it.
Their web site is useless except for entertainment if you enjoy trying to figure out which entry to click to get what you are searching for. I still don't know what URL is correct, and I have had a id with FoMoCo 'somewhere' for years. MyFord.com?

what version do you have after the update?

Here's hoping the MY23's come in with these issues all resolved. It would be nice if they just put SYNC3 as standard and be done with it. Not holding me breath though. :)

Sorry to leave the impression it failed. That was just a pic taken during the download that indicated the version in response to a question. It completed, and updated properly, I think.

You’ll know because the next time you start the truck it says thru the speakers that the update completed.

Busier at 9am as opposed to 9pm?

I’ve only had one so I couldn’t compare
