Maverick grill looks more trucky to me. Like it much better. The big lamps on the Mav both front and rear give the Mav more visual mass.

Also I could swear I saw another Mav from a distance. Up close it was a Nissan Frontier. Basically the same size and stance as the Maverick. Mav isn't that small. But I think the Ranger has no place any more.

Someone parked their new Ranger XLT Sport next to my Mav… so it was a great opportunity to take some size comparison pictures. I don’t believe theirs was a 4X4.

I'd take the Maverick everytime. The Ranger never did much for me.

The Ranger driver doesn’t know how to park in his spot. Those kind make me mad.
The kind where you go out of your way to park carefully, and then they park in your lane, and their braindead kids ding your door. Now I'm mad just playing that scenario out in my head.

Ranger kinda parked crooked . But thank you for the pictures ! It’s amazing how the ranger feels almost as big as f150 . I’m curious why they didn’t name it the maverick and the maverick the ranger . When I think the name maverick I think of cowboy western off roader truck . Like the classic western tv series maverick. To me current maverick is next generation of this 2011 ranger

Agreed, small, affordable, but capable and designed to last a long time.

Old Ranchero, you see this yet?

Yes, saw it this morning. I'm on that Forum with a different username and avatar 😉
I need a SuperCab with 6' bed and rear seat delete option to make me consider trading up for new Ranger. Then a successful test drive to make sure I like it of course. Added incentive at that point would be a 2 wheel drive + FX-2 package and I will be committed 👍

Is it just me or does the rear wheel placement on the Ranger seem odd? Too far forward.
Yeah, but not as bad as the Jeep Gladiator ...LOL

I couldn't tell you how many times I parked way in the back, only to come out and see someone parked right next to me.

Same, it never fails. Hundreds of parking spaces and they choose to park right next to my vehicle. I'll never understand the logic. Even if they're curious about the Maverick and want to look at it, I parked out in the boonies for a reason, respect that and don't be a POS.

If I could get a 4x4 with locking rear diff that didn’t have all the electronics stripped out of it before you get to $40k I would consider moving into the 2024 instead of the Mav. With the eco boost you get just a few mpg less but a true 4x4 I can take into the desert without worry. I don’t do anything crazy but without Tremor or some serious aftermarket changes the Mav would have me a little nervous

Ford Maverick Maverick vs Ranger comparison pics IMG_3549

I saw this Ranger today. At first glance I thought it might be a Maverick. Anyway, I like the looks, especially since my ordered Maverick is also Cactus Gray. Love the wheels too.

Now go park next to an F250 Super Duty
The eyes play tricks, but the Mav is smaller than the Ranger in all dimensions - same for the Frontier, but I will say the proportions of the Frontier are closer to the Mav than the Ranger. Had Nissan offered a fuel efficient four cylinder with the Frontier, they could have swayed me.
