some of us came up on cancelled orders without the hitch, ive noticed the little panel covering the part of the frame/bar where the attachable hitch is supposed to go, is removable

Every time I look it is not in stock. Hard to believe there is not an aftermarket one.

Correct me if im wrong but i think the hitch has to be welded on.that could be why you cant find one.thats the only option on my xlt for that reason.

The Maverick isn't rated for much more than the typical Class 3 hitch can handle, and those can be bolted on. Here's an example for the Bronco Sport.

I would have hoped Curt would have tested one already to confirm......still waiting.
BTW, I got under my hybrid (without a hitch) and the image of the hitch is quite possible, as I recall seeing good size bolts in that mounting area.

I added the hitch to my order as soon as I learned it was so expensive after the fact. $100 is a no brainer, even if I never use it. Sorry for those who didn’t get it.

I just ordered a lot of accessories from Fairwayford, they arrived in less than a week, and I used all of my $210-ish dollars worth of Ford Points towards my order. You'll just have to send an email with exactly what you want and tell them you want to use Ford Points and they'll ask you send your Ford Points customer ID # and name and shipping address, and they'll look up your account and send a customized invoice including the $ value of available points applied to your order, you just pay the difference as spelled out in the invoice via credit card online. It was a very simple process. I can't comment at all on the hitch installation method but you can ask them about their part availability at least.

I originally wasn't expecting to get a hitch, but for $100 I couldn't justify not getting it.... So then I went out and bought a trailer.

To justify the $100. Lol

But now having a small trailer is a good thing for me as before I had to use my ancient F150 or borrow someone's full size with trailer. Now I can just grab and go myself when I need to move something large or awkward. Plus easier loading a trailer than a bed high off the ground.
