I originally wasn't expecting to get a hitch, but for $100 I couldn't justify not getting it.... So then I went out and bought a trailer.

To justify the $100. Lol

But now having a small trailer is a good thing for me as before I had to use my ancient F150 or borrow someone's full size with trailer. Now I can just grab and go myself when I need to move something large or awkward. Plus easier loading a trailer than a bed high off the ground.

Thanks, just found my reason to buy a trailer. My wife will surely go for it.

Correct me if im wrong but i think the hitch has to be welded on.that could be why you cant find one.thats the only option on my xlt for that reason.

No, it diesn't have to be welded on. You can order one from Ford, and it's the same one that is put on at the factory.

some of us came up on cancelled orders without the hitch, ive noticed the little panel covering the part of the frame/bar where the attachable hitch is supposed to go, is removable

For a $100 option, it is a no-brainer, great deal. Especially when the Ford accessory receiver is $300, and not available. But, like you, I bought a cancelled order w/o hitch. Now I am looking for a receiver to install.

Although the site does not list 2022 models, that is the same Product Number as listed on the Ford site under 2022 Maverick. I am anxiously waiting to hear when you receive it and if it fits. Best of luck!

Found a great used 5x8 that the previous owner outgrew. Only 2 years old but he reran the wiring and put a new jack with wheel on. Plus he modified it with 2x12s, 2x10s and 4x4s for extra sidewall and header support.

Even though Ford Accessories website listed it as out of stock, the Ford dealer I ordered it from said it is the same OEM, and was shipped out of the regional warehouse.

I should have it by next week. It shipped from Rochester, NY and I live in Pensacola, Fl. The wiring harness is going to have to be something that is compatible.
