You know this would have cost a grand total of $100 parts and labor if you bought the hitch receiver and wiring harness as an upgrade when you built the truck.
Yea no shit, but some if us bought trucks that were already built without them, so in no way was your post informative.

A lot of people did not or they end up buying one off the lot that didn't one. It's not complicated to understand. Say something informative or don't say anything at all.

installed the curt hitch adapter/bronco sport harness. welded on, crash bar not removed from truck. everything went smooth, thanks to all that contributed info to this topic. also, we ran power off the 12V pigtails off the bed sides. nice and easy. again, thanks to all that contributed info. total cost including curt adapter, bronco sport harness, and labour was under $300 U.S. took about 3 hrs to do everyhing.

What are the dimensions of the factory crash bar tube? I'm looking for this curt hitch but just want to drill and bolt.

I believe the crash bar is 2 1/8 by 3 something. Not sure of the exact height. I plan to do the same thing. But you need to cut a bit off the top and redrill the receiver if you want it to fit right on it. Otherwise it would be lower and have a gap between the bottom of the crash bar and the receiver

Thank you, your post was very informative. You bought off the lot means you probably paid +$5k or 10k. Now you have to pay a few hundred $ for the hitch receiver and wiring harness that has to run all the way to the front of the truck. That is like throwing a few thousand out the window while driving on the freeway. Yea no shit.

Lots of very stupid assumptions on your part. If I had needed the hitch receiver at the time I would have just bought a different truck. But I didn't. For $100 I would still be waiting for a truck that might never get built yet this year. In the mean time I have been enjoying my Maverick for over 6 months. Seems kind of stupid to wait for something over $100. But then, I guess we know that you are.

No idea on dimensions. I happily took other members info/know how and applied it. Bolting should be ok, just have to drill and use proper grade bolts/nuts.

I was hesitant about bolting without sleeving the 2x3 box. Sleeves would keep from crushing the tube or allow movement which would eventually elongate the holes.

Don't you think that by the time you remove/reinstall the bumper cover, and modify/drill/sleeve the crash bar, doesn't the $200 extra to put the full Curt # 13504 on just make more sense?

If that is the one that hangs down below the bumper, NO. That hitch is not an option for me.
