The Maverick towed very nice and the Roadmaster system is very quick and easy to unhook and hook up. Took maybe 2 minutes to hook/unhook easiest I have ever done.
David,
Can you send me some info on the invisibrake install? I have the Stay & Play but it is just another version of the invisibrake. I have done installs on both. Where did they put the box? Runs to the 12v system?

The box is installed under the rear seat in the under seat storage, hooked into 12v system took them 5 hours to install.

Thx for the advice on the clevis. My motorhome will not be with me for the install, just my Maverick, but it sounds like should consider bringing the tow bar with me, or at least the NSA provided clevis so it can be modified.

Bringing clevis should do, they now know how to modify their part easily. Good luck.

They took 5 days for mine yours may not. I decided not to use because I couldn't really see a way of getting through everything like my jeep. Just to let you know NSA does not have the correct clevis for the Elite and Roadmaster. The clevis they sent me for the roadmaster does not fit any of Roadmaster parts. They had to adapt there part to fit my clevis. Order the aluminum 3/4 inch clevis for Roadmaster from NSA.

Also, your a direct connect or utilize the plate that connects the two attachment points?

More knee jerk replies that are MISinformed.

Ford clearly states in the notes of their doc that the customer must follow the procedure for putting the Hybrid into towed neutral. To me, that sounds exactly what other flat tow & TOAD vehicle owners must do.

I plan on flat towing the Hybrid behind our RV. No dolly.
I was trying to understand this. HOW do you put it into "Towed" neutral? Doesnt this also apply to car washes that pull your car through them?

No, the few feet of pulling the car through a car wash won’t hurt it. Flat towing behind an RV adds thousands of miles to the vehicle and could cause serious damage to the drivetrain unless the drivetrain is designed to be towed in that manner. Luckily the Hybrid Maverick is designed to be flat towed.

A few feet in a car wash like any other car, just putting it in neutral will suffice. Thousands of miles is different, luckily the Maverick hybrid has a tow neutral setting that disengages the FWD from the eCVT transmission. The only requirement is that the engine be run every six hours or less, foot on brake in drive, then reverse, then neutral before placing back in tow neutral.

I don’t get it… if the eCVT is disconnected (how?) then what does gear lubrication have to do with it?
i would say just by putting the vehicle in neutral tow mode does not stop all components from spinning.

That is to charge the battery because the accessories are on unless you have a trickle charger installed that will take care of that. Roadmaster I stalls that when doing base plate and light hook up.

Sorry misquoted the accessories are not on but the lights are so you need to charge battery.

Your email doesn't work so hear are photos the middle photo is the part that was modified by adding 2 spacers to inside to take up slack to fit over NSA clevis. Middle photo part fits into upper photo.
