Had my Maverick for over a year with 13,000 miles on it. I'm averaging 27.9 MPG on my 2.0 AWD during that entire period.

I’ve had mine for over a year now with just under 9,000 miles. The display is showing 30.6 but I think the actual mpg is closer to 28. I do the math every time I fill up and it almost always comes in a couple mpg lower.

Just did a trip from ATL to Charlotte in my 2.0 AWD 4K. Its really a great road trip vehicle, plenty of power and comfy in the front seats. Here was my trip avg. Speeds from 55 to 85mph, a few traffic jams/road closures where I slowed to a stop for periods of time, auto stop/start was disabled.

I'm at 8000 miles so far in 4 months, I have a heavy foot, spend 40% of drive in sport mode, AWD, 2.0L and get 26.5 MPG

So to everyone calling BS on the low numbers... I'll gladly provide a photo here. I am not happy at all about this fuel economy. My 2016 Subaru crosstrek wasn't great on fuel mileage and at 100k miles was still averaging about 26mpg.

I am about 75% city driving and went through a topped off dealer tank by 272 miles and put in 13.95 gallons. I'm on my second tank now and guestimations based on the fuel gage should have me around 17.5 mpg.... I have a fully loaded Lariat Tremor with the 2.0 in it and was hoping to be around 21-22 city during the summer and expected 19-20 in winter. At this rate I'll be lucky getting 15-16 in the winter! I haven't done any towing, and because I'm still in the break in period I usually have it shifting between 2000-2500 rpm and rarely even get it to 3k unless merging but that's rare. Anyone have any idea what's up? I'm hoping it corrects itself but if it's still bad by 500 miles I'll be talking to the dealer to see if it can be diagnosed. Absolutely Love how this truck drives and it's so quiet but the fuel mileage and rattly sounding engine when it's cold is a huge disappointment.

Edit: it has been hot up here so ac has been running but that should only be 1 maybe 2mpg. I don't let it idle long because I'm cheap. Tremor so no 4k tow. Also reset trip/etc it at the dealer when I got it because it was showing 14mpg from the test drive at the factory I guess and I wanted to see what it would be real world. Got mine with 26 miles.

Sounds like something is wrong with it. That's really low. I'd do a fill and check by hand and then take it to the dealer if those numbers are correct.

My wife drives ours /AWD and 34lb 108 load range tires due to our dirt road. With the stock Contis were were getting 26.7mpg, with the new heavier tires 26.2.

Oh man would I love to get that mpg! At this rate I should have picked up an f150 for just a couple mpg hit further! Haha. I have done a manual check on the mileage and it seems first tank the computer was about .5 mpg below actual, this next tank seems like it should be the same. Getting less than 300 miles per tank would be horrible for travel that's for sure!

If that mpg is correct a dealer visit would be a good idea. Sounds like something is definitely wrong with your rig.

After 1600 miles, about 27 mpg FX4 and 4K tow. Seems pretty good so far

I think your estimate is off. By looking at your pictures you’ve got 349.4 miles on that tank and 133 miles to empty. Even if you used a full tank of gas(16.6 gal) that comes out to about 21mpg but you have 133 miles to empty so obviously you haven’t used the full 16.6 gallons. So mpg is better than 21. That first dealer tank and that’s assuming the dealer filled it up. If they stopped even a gallon short, then you used only 12.95 gals so 272 miles/12.95gal = 21 Not good but it’s not broke in yet. I’d drive it a few thousand miles filling up at same pump the same way as much as possible and keep up with fuel used then figure mpg over the entire 2000-3000 miles. My 22 AWD has averaged 33.8 over last 8,000 miles, that’s computer calculated so I figure it’s more like 32mpg as I’ve hand calculated some tanks and it’s usually within 1-2 mpg sometimes better sometimes worse than the computer data.

Sorry, there wasn’t a link for replying to the original poster on my iphone( very strange 1st time I’ve ever had that happen) so I just clicked on your reply to him as it was first reply to the poster, figuring he’d see it

Not sure but mine kinda sucks too. I just got mine a week ago, used with 13k miles. 2.0 lariat awd fx4. Average said 25 something.
I reset it when I got it, and I'm only showing 18 or 19. Granted, it's hot down here, ACs been on always. I've only been driving like 10 or 15 miles a day for the past week (I live 2 miles from work)

Can’t really judge by that few a miles. Just a few minutes of idling can drop the mpg a mile or so on a fresh reset of odometer and mpg. And just squeezing in and extra couple of tenths will make 2mpg on hand calculations.

2.0 AWD getting about 31 on highway. Live in a rural area avg overall is like 28.h F150 was getting 17 big difference.
