Sounds like the rear end is disconnecting, which is normal but if it is getting louder there may be other issues going on. Mine got louder then started a groaning noise when turning at slow speeds and it turns out the bearings were toast and they had to rebuild the rear end. Covered under...
Prob about the same, ecoboost has a little more power. Both will have trailer brake controllers and have similar handling, hybrid may have a lower COG with battery not sure about that though. One thing I do not like about the 8 speed is you cant manually select gears for engine braking only...
Update: Dealer said the RDU bearings are toast and they are going to rebuild it. Was somewhat concerned about that vs a new unit but he assured me it would be done right, actually said he trusts the tech doing it more than than a replacement unit from Ford. Anyway its all covered under...
My 2022 has had terrible road/wind noise from the mic since day 1. This is a common issue I've seen on here several times. Very hard for people to hear me.
My question is if they have fixed this issue in recent models and perhaps I can swap the mic out with an updated one. It's one of the...
I dont know much about the Rangers but that doesnt sound right. I can get better mpg than that in my 7.3L gas F250 tremor. I can usually get 15-17mpg on backroads empty and around 10mpg towing 8-10k lb camper.
If im reading this correctly the two things that failed (outside of the rear main) are the RDU and the half shafts. Pretty sure the awd hybrid uses the same two parts.. You may want to look at a ranger or something with a beefier drivetrain for daily towing.
Not sure where to get them but thats crazy, the awd rarely engages torque to the rear but guess they are spinning all the time. Ford needs to get it together with these axle shafts failures. Would like to know exactly what is failing, boots causing contamination or what?
Hmm interesting, glad they did the test, result was better than I expected. Would be curious to see what the electic motor was doing on the climb and if the battery ran out, is there a screen for that?
Just purchased a spare from uga and was a great experience, he has lots of maverick parts and knowledge. Tire/wheel was like new and fit under the truck great, teeth push on the tire a bit but winches all the way up even with the hitch. Thanks again!
Sounds like a good way to get rear ended in heavy traffic. Im always giving enough room and plenty of time/brake lights to the insane drivers behind me. You almost have drive for them these days.
