Take me back to 2020 gas prices! I remember saying $1.50 was ridiculous but look at us now.

With my Thule rack and a 13' kayak on top, I averaged 25 mpg on a 3.5 hour trip - roughly 200 miles.

Due to seasonal construction ( Michigan roads are a construction companies dream) , I'm off the freeways 100% - saying that ~ guestimate is what most would consider 60 % 55 mph hwy /40 % city -
32.5 avg* - as of the past few weeks. odometer 12,500

*driving posted speeds and appreciating (and taking advantage of) the fact this transmission loves to coast i've found . Makes up for the occasional sport mode i use exclusively in the city driving environment. Truxedo Sentry CT tonneau - Auto start/stop engaged,

Love this Truck

Cheers

I get 22mpg in town. Running 500 highway miles, just for this section, 30.5mpg. Running back bucking 40mph winds, 27. Stock 2.0L with Buschers oil catch can (closed system). Tires are 235/65/17 Falken’s WildPeaks AT3W.

Light load.

Wasting money paying for 91 octane, doesn’t give you any better mpg and marginal power gain. Possibly +10hp and about same in torque gain. I’ve got a 22 EB AWD, use 87 octane runs just fine and has plenty of power I’m averaging 33.5mpg with 70%/30% highway/city speeds up to 70mph.

Great mileage. My First real gasoline purchase since 2016. Driving 2012 civic CNG and 2004 F150 CNG was paying $1.50 per GGE until about a year ago then $5.28 jump with no explanation. Just checking it out. My daughter has 2017 escape with Ecoboost 2.0 and it says premium. Not sure how they do it on the mav.

I had a 2016 escape EB 4x4 and I ran 87 in it, never a problem and had plenty of power got mid 30mpg with it. I think that premium is if you want to max power.

My '22 Maverick Lariat is averaging 22-24 around town and 32-34, some times36 on the highway. I was driving 60-70 mph. The best mileage was at 55-60 mph. A hell of a lot better than my wife's Escort or her Mercury.
