445 Days ago I placed a routine Ecoboost lariat order with a 4 mos. eta. I promise Ford will deliver Expectations, Emails, Excuses and Explanations. They will do all that EXCEPT deliver or even schedule my Maverick. So basically guess or second guess it's all a crap shoot with them.

Well, since my XL hybrid with the hitch receiver is built and waiting to be shipped, I'm going to put an extra $20 in the collection plate on Sunday and buy some lottery tickets.

So if i change my hybrid XLT 360 to a ecoboost XLT 360 this Friday, how long do you think before I get scheduled?
When I switched mine, it took 3 weeks.

Which makes me think that those who switched jumped the line. I've seen quite a few people comment about switching to EB and getting scheduled the next time scheduling took place. A little irritating for those of us already in the EB line, but if you are looking for that missing incentive to jump, Ford may have it right there.

I would bet money this isn't Ford delaying your order. This smells like a Dealer issue...either with putting a 99 Priority Code in for it and not realizing it or they simply do NOT have allocation for the Maverick. Dealer MUST have allocation for Ford to even consider building that vehicle in the Dealers order bank. Ford won't tell you about Dealer allocation, only the Dealer can tell you that info. Sounds like you are still getting e-mails from Ford, which indicates your order IS in the system. I would contact the General Manager. Best to walk in...but a phone call might work.

Exactly. For those who cannot wait for their truck, paying the little extra may be worth it. I think the biggest help i had was not only switching to EB but also changing my priority to 10 from 19. I feel that a hybrid order should try to do that before getting a EB.

Totally agree with you. Or worse yet, release the AWD hybrid version. The only reason I would consider the EB is for AWD 💀
As much as many of us would like to see that happen, I don't think we'll get an AWD hybrid anytime soon. An AWD PHEV Maverick (or Ranger) with 4k tow is my white-whale vehicle. But I don't think we'll see something like that within the next 5 years.

I can for MY 24. Let's say the lithium battery is the constraint on Hybrids. They can't get any more. But they can add AWD to the Hybrid and it only cost them an extra $500. But they charge the customer an extra $2000 for the AWD. Ford nets an extra $1500 profit per AWD Hybrid.
It's not as simple as "dragging and dropping" AWD over to the hybrid. I wish that was the case, but there is a lot of engineering that goes into each drivetrain.

Other than strong consumer demand from a select few of us, Ford currently has little to no incentive to do much of anything differently. All the surplus EBs they will build will likely fly off the lots compared to their other models; Ford will be making money hand over fist on EB Mavericks for the next several years with minimal effort on their part.

Yeah, just skip the extra engineering and testing and certifications required and start slapping them together and collect all that easy extra profit pronto!

Usually later in the day. But given Ford's record the past few week, you might have better luck with this:

EB XL 4K package. Dropped mud flaps, and hope that the hitch constraint is for the stand alone type.

Supposedly, Ford will have a hybrid/plug in version for every vehicle by 2025 (if they do as they said, which they don’t have a good record of doing so). So we might get a hybrid/plug in Ranger by 2025 (it is supposedly being tested in Europe)
