Latest Maverick Production Key Commodity Constraints + Total Retail Unscheduled Orders (10/23/23)

There are currently 35,640 total retail unscheduled orders as of 10/23/23.

Retail USOB: Is the current mix of retail orders in the unscheduled order bank (USOB) at the time the report was run. The report only looks at orders that are “clean”, meaning they do not have a compatibility error, material hold or on 99 priority code.

Looks like at least 636 new orders were added since last week.
I say at least as there were probably some orders scheduled during the week.

There are currently 35,640 total retail unscheduled orders as of 10/23/23 and there were 35,004 total retail unscheduled orders last week.

636 new orders weekly is a yearly run rate of 33,072.

Nearly half of all Maverick orders are XL. There are currently 16,751 XL retail orders in the order banks.

With a planned build rate of 23%, Ford would need to hit a capacity of 72,830 for the rest of the model year just to meet those. With Ford averaging 11,000 scheduled per month, it will take Ford until July to schedule all XLs assuming Ford only schedules XL for retail.

If you have an XLT or Lariat on order, I'd feel pretty good going forward. Look to have your truck by late spring as there is nothing stopping Ford from scheduling them assuming they can get parts from the UAW factories.

And allocations pending, of course.

Looks like their estimation/hopes for luxury and tremor packages was misguided. Let's hope they can shift to the simpler XL builds despite their preparations so far.

Just FYI Ford, I'm willing to accept higher trim parts in my XL, no charge to you, to help ensure supply for future builds .

I am only considering new orders going forward that are on top of the outstanding and scheduled orders as the order banks are still open.

I'm just happy I got my 2023 - not only due to the price increases on the 2024, but the changes in content. I picked up my 2023 yesterday, and I did confirm with my dealer that they are still accepting 2024 orders.

AHHHH the waiting game my 24 XLT Hybrid got pushed back from this week to 10/30 hope that is the last set back.

Same for me as I too am glad I got a 2023 instead of being rolled over to 2024.

My dealer moved my priority down to 10 on Wednesday July 12th and the next day Thursday July 13th I go a scheduled build date for the week of September 8th.

The 2023 order banks were going to open up on July 17th and I had already has my build sheet done for the 2024 rollover order.

If I didn't get the 2023 but the 2024 I would not have had the 400 Watt Inverter in the Cab nor the Wired Door KeyPad that came on my 2023 and wanted.

Highest reported VIN on the site is 30,3XX. so currently in the 65k-ish range. Based on Ford announcements regarding the third shift and the rate of production at the moment, looking at 120-150k production this year. So they're just around half capacity for total numbers, though XLs have already been maxed out of their percentrage and hybrid is getting close to that.

It's a pros and cons game. The downside is you have a years worth of depreciation on a new truck. We just added the key pad to our Lariat Hybrid to be installed by dealer.

I'm curious if the reason they haven't is most of the XLs are hybrid and thus there is little risk of the higher trims causing them to exceed the hybrid plan. Based on the difference from last month, hybrid and XL both went up by about the same amount by the time they closed the order banks on XLs.

I'm lucky enough to be scheduled. You should write them back though with the line about "I'm willing to take higher level trim pieces to alleviate supply chain issues!"

As long as it's tactful and in good spirits, the worst you'll get is someone to laugh on their end. Who knows, you might even get a reply...1% chance in my book .
