I have defended Ford for months, but yet another week of nothing is not acceptable. All I want is a base hybrid with a drop in bedliner. No heated seats, heated steering wheel, fancy hubcaps, stickers that blow off in the car wash, and it doesn’t have to be personally delivered by Paige Duke, but an October order with still no build date is not ok. You June, July, August, September folks must be going through the roof.

Do you have a VIN? Where is that screen shot from? I see you already answered that one.

What is with your 5/12/2022 order date in your sig?
No vin… in Canada they never closed the order books. This will all be a moot point for me as I just purchased another one in transit and will cancel this order.

I called every dealership near me looking for a in transit unclaimed truck and found one for only a few hundred over msrp.. I will be canceling my order, I’ve been told it would almost certainly get kicked to next year, this has been the sloppiest vehicle roll out ever. Constraints/blablablabla

tried removing SIBL to speed up process but dealer said they couldnt change anything with my order, hoping it has been pulled for preview to build.
Same here, my dealership couldn’t change cause I’m priority 2. If I move to a 10 this Friday I’ll try again.

Does the list showing how many vehicles are being made each week come from Ford?

Ford does need to improve their communications. Especially if they want to move to a build to order paradigm. But we need to also realize we ordered a new model during a pandemic, during a chip shortage, during a transportation nightmare, during part shortages in general. Some of us ordered the Maverick even before it went into production. This is not a Ford issue. All the dealers have empty lots. I work in industry and we are working around part and material shortages every day.

I’ve quit contacting dealer and customer service for updates on my 7/21 xlt hybrid lux order. Been priority 2 for months now and still no build date. Still participating in this forum but doing my best to not give a crap about when I’ll receive my Maverick. Can’t help but feel “shafted” when reading about later orders of same “constrained “ vehicles having already been delivered. So much for earlier orders having priority

Nope, this is clearly a Fraud... er I mean Ford Issue. Yes they took orders before production, but yes they continued to accept orders after production and even after they realized they could NOT meet the demand. Ford knew all of these issues and continued to build new orders before older orders, and as for the lack of communication, there is absolutely no excuse. I don't even want to mention the fact that they allow Ford Licensed dealers to price gouge people without mercy.

Ford Maverick communication = Ford issue.
Amazing what just a little communication would do.

I started my post with "Ford does need to improve their communications". I fully agree with you that this is their issue and their issue alone.

I am not supportive of dealers price gouging customers. Ford should step in. They are talking about moving to build to order paradigm in the future with fixed pricing. I think it is past time to change the dealer only model for vehicle purchase.

Those willing to pay a "gouging" price for an entry level vehicle are also to blame. This is not food & drinking water after a hurricane. No one has to buy a Maverick. If people just said no, the dealers wouldn't get away with it.

I don't think we want to go down the road of price fixing.
