At what point do I just give up? Ordered last September. No communication since. Been bouncing between borrowed vehicles and rental cars, now finally driving an ancient 1990 Mazda pick up from my backyard that's held together with duct tape and hope.
I would say you probably have another couple of months before getting scheduled. However, there have been September orders getting scheduled so you could just luck out and get scheduled next week. There's no exacting science to apply to determine how soon, but I don't think it would be much longer.

Giving up seems kind of pointless. The quest for a Maverick is one that only ends if/when you give up. Otherwise, you WILL get a Maverick. It's just that no one knows exactly when. But, the point is, the only way for you to NOT get a Maverick is to walk away and refuse to buy "your" truck when it's built. Because sooner or later, it will be built, and if you don't buy it, you'll have waited all this time only enrich the dealer and make some poor sucker who paid a $10,000 ADP feel "lucky" for getting his "cheap" truck.

Sometimes the wait just isn't worth it. There is an opportunity cost to waiting. Assuming this person can't afford to just buy a truck on a whim, the resources they are either holding onto now or planning to spend later could maybe be used better. Also, seems like @KyleFF is annoyed with how Ford is treating them. My beliefs that Ford are showing their butts on this and other vehicle releases are all over this site. Ford will get someone's money, but if KyleFF is unhappy enough with Ford, it shouldn't be their money. Along those lines, if some sucker is willing to pay $10K more than we are, then shouldn't the truck go to them anyway? That's how markets work, after all.

Last summer I was content to wait until March when I saved enough for a good down payment and order a Kia Soul with the trimmings. Ever since I saw the maverick, I realized that there was no other vehicle offered that I want anymore. It checks the 3 important boxes. Price, utility and mileage. I have looked and there is absolutely nothing out there I want other than this. I think I will just stick it out no matter how long it takes. Fortunately I have 2 vehicles in decent condition. I went ahead and ordered the maverick in October even though I wasn’t ready financially because I new by the time it was available it would be well past March. 😜

Great job on this post. One thing I do want to clear up is that I mentioned 80 vehicles we are expecting to receive not allocations. I mentioned 17 for February and 80 for March that we were expecting to land at the dealer from past allocations from November/December when we received 100+ allocations. That was how many that are in the scheduling/production to arrive at the dealer not how many allocations we were expected to receive. I will talk about the number of allocations to schedule we will get next week when we get the final number.

Thanks again for being a loyal follower of the streams.
Thank you for correcting me on the terminology so other will receive accurate information. I know you mentioned LM had 70% of their orders in June, July and August. With roughly 140 of 531 scheduled that left 391 for march through July for an average of 78.2 per month and the 80 you mentioned seemed like a catch up number for March.

I know not every order will be fulfilled because Ford anticipated 80,000 total orders and the estimated totals are 120,000 plus. If Ford sources parts for 80,000 trucks the last third of orders will be pushed to the front of the MY23 line with August 16 opening day, October 16th first production and MY23's in driveways by Christmas. I expect scheduling to halt in mid July so Ford can afford the pushed order a chance to modify their orders and add options (at MY23 prices) and delete or change original orders.

I can see a short ordering year (for MY23) much like this week's closing of MY22 Bronco orders and the Lightening window closing so soon.

They will close out a model when they get near to the total they can produce in a year, new launch vehicles like Bronco, Lightning, and Maverick excluded. We have delivered 100 so far and close to 100 that we should be receiving in March/April already in the production cycle. That isn't including many waiting to be sent to the plant with March/ April schedule dates. I would say we probably have half of our orders with schedule dates, produced, or delivered. And half needing scheduled. Maybe if I have time I'll do some deep dive before tomorrow night.

Maybe they will be running around sticking chips in the ones that need them. Chill out kids, Christmas will be here.
The plan was to get well before Christmas. Don’t push me to a 23 already. 😂

That's fantastic news considering the pace of other large volume dealers I've read about. Orders from Chapman and Granger are trickling in in comparison. I know they're in other regions which makes a difference. You mentioned once the June, July and August orders are scheduled, produced and delivered there will be a fraction (less than 100) to finish by the end of the production cycle. I'm glad many of your June orders have a priority 2 and 10 of 17 First Editions have been scheduled.

Your dedication to your craft, ability to keep your sales force and customers informed and ability to carry the Ford emblem to it's lofty heights gives everyone in this forum hope that Hermosillo (and every other production facility) is doing everything they can to produce a premium product (on budget and on time).

We have 318 unscheduled orders but 51 of those are a business that ordered all Ecoboost that we have as priority 11-12 so they will be looked at after other retail orders. So 267 retail orders with 190 hybrids. BTW, Granger is in the KC Region.

Mine was on the list to be Balanced Out! My dealer rep said it was because of what was in the Luxury package and that if I dropped certain item it wouldn't be balanced out. Not worth it, I wanted specific items so I decided to cancel my order and wait till ordering opens up in August 22. I have a 19 Ranger I am happy with so I can wait. Longer I do the larger my down payment will be. Good luck to you all.

No knock on @fordvideoguy , who has indeed been fantastic at keeping us all informed and educated, but I gotta also defend at least Chapman Horsham (can't speak to Granger but from the rumors it seems they wildly oversold and deserve the bad rap they've been getting).

As I detailed in this post, as of the end of Feb, Chapman Horsham has roughly 233 remaining unscheduled Mavericks, about 130 of which are hybrids. They've averaged 45 allocations per month, and if this trend continues, they will get all of them scheduled.

This assumes that Ford continues scheduling for MY22 builds into early October, since it's been announced that they will start producing MY23s on October 24th.

Like Tim, the Chapman sales team has been very forthcoming with all my questions on their monthly allocations and remaining unscheduled numbers. I'll continue updating that thread as I wait for my own build date (specs in sig), but at least for now, I remain hopeful they will come through.
