I didn't care for it either and turned it off the first week I got my truck. It's very jerky.

Didn't need it in central Florida (flat) and don't need it now in eastern New Mexico (flat).

The GF accidentally turned it on once when she was driving my Maverick. She thought she had broken something lol.

Use it everyday except in bumper to bumper traffic then it's so easy to switch off.

I used it a few times but prefer to drive the old fashioned way with my foot on the brake.
I find it hard to drive anywhere with my foot on the brake . . .

🤔

I like that it doesn’t automatically come on every time you start up.
er, it's state is preserved between starts, at least on the '25 Lariat

Don’t have to hold your foot on the brake pedal at a light? Yeah, sign me up.
This. I'm tall, and being able to take my foot off the pedal lets my thigh rest, reducing strain.

I didn't like the jerk when Auto Hold released, I have a Mazda CX-3 and it releases smoothly.
The Ecoboost releases smoothly, or, at least mine does.

So, for who people who love not having to keep their foot on the brake, what other thing do you do with your foot with all this effort you save?

I can say one thing.. you may not understand until you’re older or get diabetes or have foot numbness and/or leg numbness, at any given time…. that this is a nice little feature.

Never used , unnecessary feature, in my opinion. Should have given the XL added drive modes instead.

In my opinion it is another waste. However I have it on my 2013 F 150 and it is so unobtrusive that you don't even know it's on. My wife's 2020 Escape with the 2.0 EB has it and it is SOOO intrusive I can't drive with it on. So, given my Maverick has the same drivetrain as the Escape, I have never used it.

It is a great feature. I use it all the time. Since you can disable it, this isn't really worth debating.

I have a bad right knee, and I always have it on. Auto-hold and cruise-control are real knee-savers.
