No, just another painted surface to get scratched up. I prefer the plastic trim so I don't have to worry so much about scratching it up and just using it as a light truck.

Also think about where the black parts are. Everything makes your eye see the traditional pickup proportions. If you made those parts body color the Maverick would look thick and stubby.
