The battery tech needs to improve in a couple ways before I consider a Full EV. There are two items that will ring my bell. (I currently drive a Maverick Hybrid)
1. Full Charging time in 5 minutes. (I can fill the gas tank in less than 5 minutes)
2. Driving range comparable to my current...
22' Lariat Lux hybrid received End of March 22'. 31k miles, averaging 38.1 mpg and that is a lot of highway miles. Got the Maverick thermos for doing one of the recalls. I have hauled wood, dirt, mulch, driveway base, stone, and 1400 lbs. of 16x16 patio stones and that is besides hauling...
Mulch is an easy cubic yard in the Maverick. I also hauled almost a yard of topsoil, close to a yard of driveway base, and 1400 lbs. of patio stone. If you do overload, just take the ride easy going to your destination and don't leave the weight in the truck too long. Remove the Weight the...
With keyless entry (push button start) you do nothing except get in the car and press the start button. The driver door unlocks automatically considering your FOB is on your person.
Hm. It is a king cab Truck that gets 40mpg. I got the lariat for add-on comforts like adaptive cruise control and heated seats. I have had it about a year and a half and it has performed well. Good luck on your decision. If you don't happen to like it, you can sell it and make a few grand...
He is pretty much correct. The post was a Mav Slam. No reasons were given for getting rid of the Mav. Just first couple years in production jitters. Obviously wanted a Ridgeline to begin with and willing to pay an extra $15-20k to get one. I have a Mav. Loved the price and 40+ mpg. I...
The seats in the lariat are great and very adjustable electric for the drivers seat. I have driven in an xlt and didn't have any issue with the driver seat. 10-11 hours would make anyones butt cranky.
While some breakdowns occur with the Hybrid, Breakdowns also occur with the EB.
Here are points for the Hybrid.
-Hands down, the hybrid Gets better gas mileage than the EB. 35-40mpg+
-Battery is guaranteed for 8 years. It may last a lot longer. I may trade in after 3 years. So, the battery...
If you get the hybrid as i did, then NO. There is a seamless interchange between the gas and electric engine that you never notice. There is now stop start at stoplights. That was a real pleasant surprise. I am only speaking for the hybrid. I don't know about the eco boost. I have the...
I have had my Hybrid Lariat for a year now and about 5-10 people on the street have gone out of their way to ask me about the truck. Who knows, maybe only people looking for a small truck or vehicle enthusiasts are really aware of the Maverick.
You only got a peice of my reply. Unless there has been some horrible change to the system, If it is ordered from the factory as an option, then it doesn't have additional install cost. All the items I ordered from the factory, (mud flaps, Lux package, etc) came without additional cost.
What are the reliability reasons you mentioned? As for the gas mileage of a hybrid, it is nice having the dashboard indicate I can go 500 miles on a tankful and only have to visit the gas station half as often as my previous truck. There seemed to be some early concerns that the hybrid would...
I have the hybrid. I do a mix of city and highway so the mileage is around 35mpg. When hauling, mileage will drop. In the snow (midwest Ohio) it drives great. I drove my hybrid around a backyard with 4 inches of snow without spinning a tire. Good luck whatever you do. As with most front...
if it is ordered from the factory as an option, then it doesn't have additional install cost. I ordered the 2022. I ordered from the dealer and installed the bed mat, tailgate mat and hood bug shield myself. The dealer would've charged for those installs if I hadn't done it myself.
I got the fits kit, and tried a couple items like the cup holder and trash can in the back seat. But they didn't lock down and kept popping free. So, I sold the whole kit to a guy on marketplace for the shipping cost. The Fits system need a locking mechanism, otherwise, Meh.
The dial is odd and electronic. If you are in drive and turn off your Mav it automatically goes into park. Nice feature. I baby mine anyway, but I figure the dial keeps anyone from jamming into drive from reverse.
