I miss manual windows, and wing vents.

When I saw the tailgate dampener, my first thought was, that is going to be sooo slow in the winter. Just what you want, waiting for the tailgate to lower when it is freezing. And then on top of that, you lose one of the tie-downs on the tailgate. I know you can buy a d ring-style tie-down, but why bother? The aluminum tailgate isn't that heavy. It is easy to lower it one-handed. Never saw the appeal. I don't even like the dampener on the glove box door. I end up forcing that open. That's funny. I installed the tailgate assist and here in Colorado in winter it goes down so slow you have to help it along. In summer works great.
Really bugs me that it doesn’t have proximity lock when you walk away. I’m used to Hondas that do it annoyingly well and quickly.I've owned for over 6 months now and for me it would be torn between 2 things.
1. I can just not get used to the braking behavior. It's grabby at low speeds, especially when wet and it feels like the regen braking is never quite strong enough, even in different drives modes. Not a super big deal personally as I can always get the truck stopped but it is frustrating when someone else is riding with me and they have to deal with it.
2. The lack of proximity unlock on all 4 doors. I continue to find myself going to open the back seat doors to place a bag or something back there only to remember I have to touch the front door handle in a specific place first to unlock it. If they just had than sensor on the back doors too, life would be much better.
Runner Up would be lack of proximity locking. On my previous car, it was so nice to just have the car lock itself when I walked away after parking instead of having to dig in my pocket to use the fob or touch the door handle in a specific place.
I’ve never understood this complaint but maybe I’ve just gotten used to the box in vehicles today. My peeve is that large black box above the rear-view mirror causing the mirror to be low enough to cause a large blind spot, & before anyone responds there is no configuration & the mirror cannot be pushed up far enough to change this, if the stalk that holds it to the windshield was about 1-1/2 to 2 inches longer it could be pushed up far enough. I've checked, the internet does not offer one.
Get 3rd coast, here’s a simple fix, caps go right over and cover the lugs and any scars the tire changers do to them, these also match my stripes. As another owner with the BAP, you'll understand this one.
Chrome lug nuts!!!
For what we (grossly over) paid for this package, black ones should be included.![]()
Only photo I could find of my interior of my 24 Lariat BAPBAP has different vent and other dash trim pieces and different door panels. the build & price tool is not that accurate, I'd suggest searching here (maybe in the 'builds' subforum) for black appearance and surely someone has good pics of what the interior really looks like.
...and then you'll see it's almost identical for Tremor and Lobo, except the stitching and logos on the seats.
Yep... the wing vents are awesome. MY 66 Ford Galaxie and my 36 Buick have them. My 36 Buick even has them on the back seat windows.I miss manual windows, and wing vents.
When I bought my 2002 Ranger I opted out of the power windows and power seats. I just wanted a basic XLT. When my wife got in the truck, her first reaction was the lack of power windows. I'm 59. Is that old?Living in the great lakes north, the non ability to use a hand crank to open a frozen window is my pet peeve. Driving up to a postal box or any drive thru and not being able to open the window at all is frustrating.
Yeah I'm that old.
any FITS kits to address this glaring design flaw?My one pet peeve with the Maverick must be the Maverick owners who complain mightily over the most inconsequential things. May as well just throw a tantrum about a lack of refrigerated Grey Poupon storage in the back seat.
I useI've had my Tremor for 2 years and like it even more now than when I got it and have had zero problems. My pet peeve is really major-WTF does the little green seat belt reminder pop up every time I get in it and remind me to fasten my seat belts when I already have!!! Its become automatic now that I hit the OK without even looking!
They limited this feature to the Lariat for some reasonMy 2023 Leriet HB has one touch up.
Anything I'd call a "pet peeve" with this truck usually had to do with cost cutting by Ford, but easily fixable. Examples: cheapest mirror possible even on the Lariat (homelink mirror can be had for not much money, have yet to install mine), chrome lug nuts on the BAP (already replaced). Like, I knew what I was getting in to, and I assume most here did too.
I also prefer the chrome lugs on black wheels, the contrast is niceI use

I actually like the chrome nuts on the BAP. I think it works well with my white truck. Yeah, I'm weird.![]()
