It takes too long for the message to disappear. At least 1-2 minutes after all the seat belts are engaged!
If you don't hit the okay button.
It takes 60 Seconds for the seat belt notice to go out by itself. I timed it and make it made a video 8 months ago showing that.

I have a Lariat and as best as I've noticed through my use and reading up here in the forum, it does not have proximity lock in the form of "walk way and after a set amount of time or distance, it locks itself". You can either use the fob or touch a section the top part of the handle when you get out to lock the truck. Touching the handle seemed to be a reasonable thing to me at first but it's been hard to get in the groove of doing it and the truck doesn't sound a confirmation chime or honk to say it's locked which feels weird. I usually just use the fob and press the button twice so I can hear the confirmation honk.
I really hope... 2025 model has real proximity locking. D:

I'll toss in one more pet peeve I have but it's more of a "Why did you do it like this Ford?!" that just runs through my head whenever I run into it.

The order of Drive Modes just doesn't make sense to me for what the Maverick is and was designed for. In my truck they are Normal, Tow/Haul, Slippery, Eco, Sport. Considering I have the hybrid, I think it would make way more sense if it was Normal, Eco, Sport, Tow/Haul, Slippery. I tend to want/need to access Eco and Sport modes way more often than the other two but I always have to scroll through them first which is just annoying.

Scuff guards for the door sills. I added inexpensive, stick-on aftermarkets but would have been nice for Ford to do it. :(

My pet peeve is no heads up display is available for the Lariat trim. My 2019 Mazda Cx-5 has it and I love using it!

The small driver's side mirror. Why is it shorter than the passenger side?
Other annoyance.. the inability to soak the window in bug juice before wiping once.

My 1 thing is really not bad at all. I hate to hear bad things about a vehicle I own and most here are actually issues that can be solved with aftermarket solutions. True it would be nice to have some of these options directly from the factory but ain't it that way with any vehicle? My 1 thing isn't hearing the comments but rather the windshield wipers. I would like to raise them during a heavy snowfall so they will not get frozen down. The hood prevents that. Do I think the way they are now looks nice and do they operate perfectly? - YES.
I have a 2023 Hybrid. If yours is the same, you can get hold on one of the wipers and move it up to center (or whenever it clears hood). It will then allow wiper to move out well away from windshield. WARNING: Put it back against the glass before starting truck or it WILL scratch the hood!! I was fortunate, did not happen because some other very nice Maverick guy on this forum wrote about that!

I have had my 2024 close to a year now. It is an XLT with luxury and black package. I really like and enjoy the truck. But as with most vehicles there always seems to be one item that bugs the heck out of you.
My one item: I can't believe Ford didn't put power windows with one-touch up. Ughh! Every time I go to a drive-through I curse that I have to hold the button while driving off. My 2013 CRV had one touch up and down. That is my one gripe.

What is your one pet peeve about the truck that you would change if possible? Just mention one please. :)
No rear window defogger!!!

Odd?? 23 EB Lariat. I have the complete opposite peeve. My window switch is so sensitive that unless you are really quick the window always goes all the way up or all the way down. It is almost impossible to get it to stop at any point between full open or fully closed.

Maverick wheels. I don't hate them, just dislike the weird size and specs. Very difficult, if not impossible to find good aftermarket wheels without having spacers, adapters, etc etc.

17X7
Bolt pattern: 5X108 (5X4.25) What the hell were they thinking?
Offset: +37.5 (wow)
Centerbore: 63.4mm

I want my basic Crager SS (chrome) or something similar.

I do know there are some wheels that fit, but they are not the ones I want. Possible to get some custom made (not Crager) I checked a couple places. Very expensive. I can afford, but just not my thing to spend money like that. However, if someone could figure out how to put a Chevy small block 327 in with that Hybrid system, let me know. My money would come out on the table. Heh heh.

On the 2025 there is a left mode button and a right mode button. If you use the left button you only need to press it once to get to Eco mode. I'm not remembering what the right mode button is on first press.

My peeve is that large black box above the rear-view mirror causing the mirror to be low enough to cause a large blind spot, & before anyone responds there is no configuration & the mirror cannot be pushed up far enough to change this, if the stalk that holds it to the windshield was about 1-1/2 to 2 inches longer it could be pushed up far enough. I've checked, the internet does not offer one.

Not really a pet peeve but more disappointed it’s not an option, wish they would add a stock option for fog lights. Other than that I am loving my truck.
