Having owned both versions, the hybrid would be my choice. Even though mpg isn't really a big deal to me, the smoothness of the hybrid makes it so pleasant to drive.
Now if Ford put something a little more substantial in the Lobo or Tremor (2.3T, etc.), I would definitely consider it for a more...
Mine might win most boring of this thread. But, got photobombed by a Cooper's Hawk; oddly somehow this is the only exterior photo I have of my commuter car. '17 Mazda3 hatch 2.5 6MT. Fantastic little car, fun to drive, and still looks great for its age. Even has Android Auto after a $50...
I've owned both an EB and Hybrid Mav, both with 4K tow. The extra power of the EB is nice, but the hybrid is more than adequate. I'd probably go hybrid again if I had to choose.
I've been using a touch wash at least weekly since I got my '25 and have not seen any paint issues with it.
I also had a '23 using the same wash and didn't see paint issues from that either.
They did, apparently, improve the FordPass connectivity though. This is really the only complaint I've had (had the same issue with my '23 EB, assumed it was a network-based issue). Lately it would crap out and not update/talk the truck every few days or so. We'll see if the update addresses it...
Sorry to hear that - glad you're okay and the Maverick did its job wonderfully.
I used to drive that stretch through Fort all the time on my way to visit friends at UW-W.
As others have said, the hybrid is not a true start/stop setup. The ICE will run to keep state of charge in an acceptable range. Both your HV battery and 12v will impact this (even if indirectly).
The more you draw from either battery, the more you will notice the ICE running. In cold...
The occasional "how do you like your Maverick?" at a gas station or parking lot. A couple neighbors took a look/sat in it. But Mavs are getting quite popular around here.
I had the exact same experience with my '96 XJ. The wheels on that thing made it so easy to pack snow into those 5 little holes, but impossible to get out. Only solution was park it in a warm garage for a few hours.
