Like many others, the system not remembering my drive mode is the most annoying. If I had a choice it would be in 'eco' mode all the time. Yes, it is only four presses, but it gets really annoying to have to click through the seatbelt screen and then tap through the drive mode every single time.

ok let's all pretend we're in the room with the next Maverick cycle refresh team for a moment and they give you ONE thing on the next truck that you can change/remove or add...what would it be? 1st thing i would say is that they did good with our beloved little truck but there's always room for improvement. i don't mean your whole 'wish list' , just that ONE thing or feature that Ford should consider next, i know there's a lot more that we would all like but that's for a different thread. my biggest beef is having to reset the drive mode EVERY time i restart the truck, it's just asinine IMHO. i mean really how much would the chip or circuit that could retain the last selected drive mode add to the MSRP? i know it's only 4 quick button clicks but why not just be able to choose a driving mode you like and then go on with your life? what say you? i think we could do ourselves and Ford a great service here with our feedback as we are what i believe is the preeminent online Maverick truck community, if they pay attention to us we could actually have a impact on the next Maverick, how cool would that be?

I think all the safety suite features should be standard on all trims.
My AI safety suite is always ready to handle every situation. I developed it from years of cheating death and rigging to fit my needs . It's
Actual Intelligence.

The reason I made this point was not so much that I think everyone needs these features but rather that you would think at the price these vehicles sale for they should just be there as an option to use them if desired. My Corolla Cross has a full safety suite standard even on its base model for example.

I think they are helpful but I know the intelligent people on here that would never want or need the features are smart enough to de-select them.

I'm guessing you mean an extended cab versus a 4 door. Here is why this and most of the things listed on this thread won't happen. If they offered a 2 door, extended cab, and crew cab configuration Ford would need 3 distinct bodies, 3 distinct interiors. Then you have the logistics of queuing the right parts for 3 separate configurations on the assembly line. Now the price for ALL increases because of shipping, inventorying (more space needed), queuing (more labor) and more line stoppage because of wrong part in line.
I know but the but a bit longer bed would be great. I had a SuperCab Ranger and an Extended Cab Toyota trucks and they were perfect with cab storage and nice beds.

Extend the cabin so the back seat can have a little more room and extend the bed.

Oh, a turbo hybrid engine 🤣

A multi-flex midgate on what you can find on the Silverado EV or the old Avalanche. Would love to have that option to fold down the back seat and have a 6.5-foot bed. Would be great for camping. If you don't need it anymore just close it.

That's not the same as having to "be in motion."

And I drive primarily on normal mode, so I don't think everyone agrees on what should be the default.
I agree. I usually drive in slippery mode for the better Hybrid mileage.

Given that a 2-door with 6'+ bed is a very unlikely offer from Ford (unibody construction prohibits that), I'm going with something simple: Replaceable Radio so a superior aftermarket unit can be put in.

This would require moving the display of vehicle specific data to a different screen: the center part of the instrument panel.

No, none of the Ford factory offers are very good, even the MySuk 5 or 6 or whatever. You cannot add or remove third party apps and features.

I did not know the slippery mode offered the best mpg, I'll try that. I've been using the eco mode.

Long shot:
EV drive motor for acceleration and power advantages (also offroad; 100% torque at all speeds), coupled with a "range extender" system; which is simply an integrated gasoline powered generator to charge the batteries.

It depends on your driving conditions. Eco has higher regen, so if you're in stop and go traffic it can be better. Slippery lets you coast longer, so it gives you better mileage if you won't be braking as much.

Add vented seats on the Lariat. That one feature makes a huge difference during the summer in the South.

Had vented seats in my Grand Cherokee before and found them not very effective. But that might have been that specific vehicle.
The standard cloth seats in the Maverick are really good in combination with the great working AC. Was sweating more in my Passat with leather seats.

Lariat comes with leather. We have vented seats in the Explorer and it is a game changer during the heat of summer. I wish it was an option on the Maverick. Ford needs to just go all out and offer a "Platinum" edition that has all the bells and whistles.
