It knows the volume of the tank, the amount of fuel (within a margin of error), and computes the mpg rate based on how that volume of fuel changes over however many miles. When you fill it up, it's just reading out your current mpg x the full tank will net you around that many miles until empty...
Not many options besides the pickup bed. If it's a matter of speed, you can adapt a scissor jack to your impact driver and keep the driver battery plugged in to your outlet. Zips up and down pretty quickly, but you will need to keep an eye on the threads for signs of wear.
Love it. Saw my first carbonized grey out in the wild today, and now I'm completely bewildered as to which color I'm going to actually pick. Ford did a pretty good job picking a palette that suits these trucks. I'm hoping for a hunter-green color or a black and copper look down the road.
I have to wonder what ford was thinking when going with such a loud color that clashes with most of it's paint options. You're gonna see a million of these things vinyl'd over.
Even though the hybrid is tempting, and certainly a strong option for certain work fleets or city folk... I just can't see it as a viable option since it can't pull a modest trailer or boat.
*cues shark tank theme* and for this reason, it's 2.0L and 4k package for me.
Playing off the mustang lineage, I think they should call this the Mountain Mule variant. it's small. it hauls. kicks when it's gotta..
Or since its smaller than Ranger: Scout
I saw a mockup on them and it didn't really look right. the flares looked odd on the small truck and it was flat black flares on the A51 color which kind of clashed with the body lines.
