Why are you hitting the OK button after seat belt warning light??? It goes away once all belts are done up.
I have no patience, I don't want to see that.
A minute wait for it to go out Is an eternity to me.
If I forget my belt i got bells and I hate those also.

On my 2004 escape That I often drive down to the mailboxes,
just because it sits so much, all I have to do Is pull the seat belt
out a foot then let it go. no bells, nothing.

I would prefer my vehicles to not 'Mother' me so much.
It's my pet peeve not yours :D

My 1 thing is really not bad at all. I hate to hear bad things about a vehicle I own and most here are actually issues that can be solved with aftermarket solutions. True it would be nice to have some of these options directly from the factory but ain't it that way with any vehicle? My 1 thing isn't hearing the comments but rather the windshield wipers. I would like to raise them during a heavy snowfall so they will not get frozen down. The hood prevents that. Do I think the way they are now looks nice and do they operate perfectly? - YES.
The wiper arms will move out from under the hood manually, grab them and move them up out from under the hood. you can then lift them off of the windshield. Just make sure you move them back in normal position before you start the engine or remote start.

is the dash and door trim the same tan color? or is the Bap more dark gray instead of tan in the regular lariats. if its just black seats, and same dash and doors, thats kinda crappy but if they are indeed darker trim pieces, thats nice touch
BAP has different vent and other dash trim pieces and different door panels. the build & price tool is not that accurate, I'd suggest searching here (maybe in the 'builds' subforum) for black appearance and surely someone has good pics of what the interior really looks like.

...and then you'll see it's almost identical for Tremor and Lobo, except the stitching and logos on the seats.

My 22 Maverick has this feature...perhaps it is only available with the Lariat trim.
My 2024 has the One touch also it must be a trim level option

I've had my Tremor for 2 years and like it even more now than when I got it and have had zero problems. My pet peeve is really major-WTF does the little green seat belt reminder pop up every time I get in it and remind me to fasten my seat belts when I already have!!! Its become automatic now that I hit the OK without even looking!
It goes off by itself!

Pet peeve number 1 - Mode button must be pushed at every start-up to get back to
Eco Mode where it was when last driven

Pet peeve number 2 - Top of the line Lariat model comes with no floor mats and no under-hood noise-reducing insulation

What is your one pet peeve about the truck that you would change if possible? Just mention one please. :)
Deicing the wipers and clearing snow out of the channel where the wipers rest.

Its hella annoying in canadastan.

It brings back terrible memories of owning a caprice... except im not getting stuck on level ground anymore.

I think they do now, the insulation stuff, and the last drive mode is retained, you gotta hit "ok" on screen from what I read .

I've owned for over 6 months now and for me it would be torn between 2 things.

1. I can just not get used to the braking behavior. It's grabby at low speeds, especially when wet and it feels like the regen braking is never quite strong enough, even in different drives modes. Not a super big deal personally as I can always get the truck stopped but it is frustrating when someone else is riding with me and they have to deal with it.

2. The lack of proximity unlock on all 4 doors. I continue to find myself going to open the back seat doors to place a bag or something back there only to remember I have to touch the front door handle in a specific place first to unlock it. If they just had than sensor on the back doors too, life would be much better.

Runner Up would be lack of proximity locking. On my previous car, it was so nice to just have the car lock itself when I walked away after parking instead of having to dig in my pocket to use the fob or touch the door handle in a specific place.

I have had my 2024 close to a year now. It is an XLT with luxury and black package. I really like and enjoy the truck. But as with most vehicles there always seems to be one item that bugs the heck out of you.
My one item: I can't believe Ford didn't put power windows with one-touch up. Ughh! Every time I go to a drive-through I curse that I have to hold the button while driving off. My 2013 CRV had one touch up and down. That is my one gripe.

Built in garage door opener buttons!

wait what?

Does ford maverick not have proximity locking? ie walk away and locks and when walk back to it, unlocks? my gf's nissan rogue does it.

that is a royal kick in ass if not, (does lariat have this?!)

I have a Lariat and as best as I've noticed through my use and reading up here in the forum, it does not have proximity lock in the form of "walk way and after a set amount of time or distance, it locks itself". You can either use the fob or touch a section the top part of the handle when you get out to lock the truck. Touching the handle seemed to be a reasonable thing to me at first but it's been hard to get in the groove of doing it and the truck doesn't sound a confirmation chime or honk to say it's locked which feels weird. I usually just use the fob and press the button twice so I can hear the confirmation honk.

It takes too long for the message to disappear. At least 1-2 minutes after all the seat belts are engaged!
