  1. Getting tired of truck battery in sleep mode

Ford will tell you to drive it more. I would recommend a battery tender if you only drive once a week. These new cars and pickups are computers on wheels and demand more electricity.
  2. My Maverick died in traffic...

One of the problems for the 22 Mavs was a part shortage...no AGM batteries were available so Ford put in EFB batteries instead. These Mavs need AGM!
  3. Hybrid 12V Battery Charging

Charging the charge level is only part of the solution. It will help some but until you get a non-Ford AGM battery with a greater capacity, you may still have problems.
  4. Hybrid 12V Battery Charging

Usually lithium-ion is great for RVs and boats but not for cars/pickups for those who live in northern USA due to the cold weather. Lithium-ion do not function well in cold weather.
  5. Battery Monitoring System, BMS, settings in ForeScan...

Before I purchase an AGM battery, I had AN EFB battery. Yet the settings in the BCM listed my battery as an AGM battery when I had the EFB battery...
  6. Shout out to Granger Ford

I bought my Mav from Granger Dec. 2021. My best experience ever with a dealer! (I am retired so I have dealt with a lot of dealers).
  7. Deep sleep mode

No need to apologize....we do have some forum members are are sometimes too quick to judge others without knowing the circumstances of the one who is asking questions. Always feel free to ask questions and just ignore the insults from a very small minority...
  8. Hybrid 12V Battery Charging

Ford, in order to gain .1 mpg, only allows your battery to charge to 80% level. The car batteries last longer if you keep them closer to 100% charge level. Apple uses lithium-ion batteries, not lead acid batteries. Your lithium-ion will last longer if only charged to 80%.
  9. Hybrid 12V Battery Charging

I 100% agree. I have been monitoring my charging system with ScanGauge and my Mav charges just fine. But I still had battery issues. Changing my battery to Interstate AGM battery and changing the charge level to 95% fixed my issue. The the recent charging battery recall will NOT fix most of the...
  10. Ford recalls 456K vehicles due to loss of drive power (undetected low battery issue); includes 2022-2023 Maverick Ecoboost & Hybrid

This recall will not fix Ford's bad batteries even though Ford claims it will. Ford's batteries discharge way too quickly compared to other brands. Software will not fix this issue!
  11. Hybrid 12V Battery Charging

Seems like your alternator does very little charging...
  12. Mabett Fender Flares back in stock on Amazon!

The reviews scare me away from purchasing them...
  13. Ford recalls 456K vehicles due to loss of drive power (undetected low battery issue); includes 2022-2023 Maverick Ecoboost & Hybrid

After reading this notice, I do not think the recall will correct our battery issues listed in this forum. I have not read any complaints about the auto stop/start not restarting after being in the "stop" mode or experiencing a stall when coming to a stop at a low speed. What do others think...
  14. Hopefully no more "Deep Sleep" for a while

Maybe this change does not affect the hybrid like the EB. I noticed via ScanGauge, that the alternator would not charge when the SoC was above 80%. When I changed the the charge level to 95%, my alternator immediately started charging my new AGM battery.
  15. Hopefully no more "Deep Sleep" for a while

It is in the BCM...I do not if this works in the hybrid though...I have the EB. And it does make a difference...several have reported this in other threads.
  16. Hopefully no more "Deep Sleep" for a while

I bought this one: OBD Scanner. Use the coupon code RICHARDOS to bring the price down to $40.
