  1. My 93 Octane Experiment! 2.0L EcoBoost Maverick

You can use tow/haul mode, higher rpm, but not crazy like sport mode, try it & see if you like it.
  2. My 93 Octane Experiment! 2.0L EcoBoost Maverick

When was this picture taken? Because the 87 is much lower than it should be currently, if you can get it at that price, buy all you can. I'm wondering if the person who changes the prices on the pumps goofed, at the least the 87 should be 2.99.
  3. 110 miles eep

It moves a little, but not enough to get out of the line of vision, I experimented with couple different options but have not yet found what I need on the internet, if the double ball joint was twice as long you could move the mirror up far enough so it doesn't block your vision, I hooked 2 of...
  4. Ford truck month

It's been like that since the beginning, I was going to go to the auto show in Feb of 22 there was a $500 bonus if you attended & got the "coupon", but before I went the very fine print at the bottom said the Maverick & I think it was the MachE were not included, so I didn't waste my time.
  5. My 93 Octane Experiment! 2.0L EcoBoost Maverick

You will see mpg, I get 3 more mpg with 91 no E vs 87E10
  6. My 93 Octane Experiment! 2.0L EcoBoost Maverick

I have done this & the Maverick EB REALLY likes it! It's a cheap way to add some octane. Only I was using 91 without ethanol + a 'splash' of e85
  7. My 93 Octane Experiment! 2.0L EcoBoost Maverick

I have used mainly 91 without ethanol for the 2 years I have had my Maverick, & the "lugging" at low speed is still there, but I only notice it when the radio volume is low.
  8. Sunscreen Lotion / Sun Block appears to discolor Maverick Blue Door Plastics and BAP Black Vinyl

A number of years ago I noticed a warning on the back of my sunscreen about this, more for clothing, but cloth interior falls under this category & I have made sure to cover seats with a towel when using sunscreen, hopefully the product in the post before me will help you.
  9. If you had to choose? F150 or Maverick

I would still take the Maverick, but a Lariat AWD if money is not an issue.
  10. The only way to find the limits are to exceed them…

I have known many guys like that who don't know how to use a 4WD. My theory is that when you are sliding on your roof in the ditch, engaging 4WD is not going to help.
  11. The Other FWD Ecobox with a Bed

I was looking for one of those in the early 90's but they were so rotted by then, this one is in nice shape. If it's a diesel one it gets better mileage than the hybrid Maverick, but 0-60 is not a sure thing!
  12. Jeepers ….$150 oil change???

Last year I decided to try full synthetic, it was $100, I thought that was high. Well lets see if I get more mileage out of it, not really I was getting 4000 miles from semi-synthetic, & got 4500 miles from full synthetic, so I switched back to semi for the change a couple weeks ago & it was...
  13. Burnout in my 150

Lucky for you truck tires are only $300 each!
  14. Maverick: check your damn oil

I always check my oil after an oil change, I have had it short a quart & over a quart already. Still check it every 1000 miles or so, an old habit.
  15. Smoke Stacks, Haha!

I just see red on the neck!
  16. Thoughts on amber or white lighting for fog lights?

I find that yellow/amber works much better in rain, fog & snow.
  17. E85

It comes out to around 10% ethanol content which is what normal fuel is, some places selling 15% which will work in the EB, I don't know what the limits of the factory setup are, but I don't use more than 10% as mpgs suffer too much. I was curious if the small bump in octane would be noticeable...
  18. 2024 Maverick XLT Ignition Key question

A local garage in my area went all in for transponder keys for most vehicles, I had him make me one for my XLT & it was under $40, looks like the OP key, no remote but it opens the door & starts the truck. Part of the trick is being able to cut sidecut keys, which most vehicles these days have.
