This is exactly why I won't even step foot on the lot at Classic anymore. I thought being a small dealer would be better for customer service and it ended up being the worst dealership experience I've ever had. Ended up going with Capital in Raleigh which still wasn't great but no mark-up and accepted x-plan.
Yea, I can't imagine what their Service Department experience will be like. Once I get my hands on the truck, I'll likely never go back. Hopefully, this truck is simple to work on.

We are all screwed. Do not expect any Hybrid scheduling today.

Ford executives are targeting high profit builds. They stood up and said so.
Where do you think that leaves us?
Only Maverick builds gonna be scheduled are those that have all parts on hand right now. Parts and chips will be dedicated to profit making models.

Come on Ford, tell me that is not the truth!

My first order was placed 6-12-21, second one mid August. Both are Hybrid Lariat Lux with 360.
Hybrid builds are being pushed back already, why should we hope for any good news today?
Looks like our hybrid orders will be pushed to MY 2023 if we get them at all. Then there is no lock on the pricing once they get sent to next model year.

I really WANT my orders but I am lucky enough that I do not NEED them.

This bull crap delay stuff from Ford has soured me on a brand that I have supported since the 60's
Ok so 1. There still 8 months left of production for the 2022 ford Maverick hybrid, not sure why you're saying nobody will get their order fulfilled when we are not even through January.
2. If for some reason you do have to have you order switch to 2023 price protection will still apply of course. Not sure where you're getting this information either.

Hybrid. I even took off the spray in bedliner last month in hopes to get scheduled quicker. Everyone else that ordered in June and July from my dealership has already been scheduled...but none had a spray in.
That's about the same with my dealership, the only deliveries I'm aware of are none SIBL Mavericks. I changed my SIBL to a DIBL in hopes of getting a build date sooner, but nothing yet. And the wait continues! 🙄

I would disagree slightly with your first point. Production is already scheduled out to the end March/ early April so in reality there's 5-6 left for production time. What would nice to know is how production is going to dealer stock and South America.

Hey fellow Maverick fans. I have been waiting since June 30, 2021 for any news on my XL hybrid. I finally broke down this morning and called the Ford Help Line @ 800-334-4375 and explained that I had been waiting and not heard anything. Was my Maverick in the system?

The lady confirmed with me that I had received no emails since the confirmation email.

She apologized for Ford's mistake, but my XL hybrid is being delivered to the dealer on Tuesday February 1.

I was expecting bad news and got this.

If you are a June/July order and haven't heard anything, give it a try. They may not have gotten your email in the system.

Good luck to everyone that hasn't heard.

That's fine.

You'll have to name a dealer, just like for Mavericks today. So, there will still be dealers, just no on the ground inventory. And a lot fewer dealers will cut costs for Ford. Tesla has only has a little over 160 stores in the US and they sell a lot of vehicles through those 160. Ford has around 3000, down from over 5000 in 2008.

Things are changing.
Yes they are changing. A local Honda dealer said that the mark up on cars is due to dealers storing vehicles on there lot. I asked if I could order a new Ridgeline without the storage fee, and was told, no we have a few on the lot.

"Discontinued" sounds like no more will be made. I think we're talking either they are not taking any more orders or production is temporarily halted/slowed-down due to supply issues.

On phone no deposit customer order by Hill Country Ford in Goldthwaite Texas:
VB, eco 2.0, Lariat lux, 360, Lux, AWD, 4k tow, SIBL, ordered 10/27 accepted e-mail 10/29

Dec 9 scheduled for 02/14 production email
19.29 hrs central yesterday 01/27 Reschedule email. New build date 02/21

Mid Jan I got the snail mail Ford F series truck brochure offer of $2500 off Or $750 off that can be used for a new Maverick. BUT expires April 4 2022

Will not be a disaster if my Mav misses April 4 delivery - but I do intend to ask Ford to extend this offer, politely noting I missed the offer expire date due to FoMoCo scheduling delays
I heard it through the grapevine 🍇 that if you take that into your dealer they will honor it before your truck gets here

Looks like plain Jane builds shouldn't have any issues getting scheduled. Also looks like my XLT Lux and 360 packages are once again are going to have to try and make it through the Ninja Warrior obstacle course to try and get scheduled! Thanks for posting this information.

This is exactly what got me worked up. Who the hell thought it was a good idea to introduce, take reservations and promise a release date under what was apparently just a hypothetical situation where covid never happened, no supply chain issues existed and they had secured all the parts to build the trucks? Why wasn't the release date pushed back to summer 2022 so everyone could plan accordingly? This is a vehicle used to get to work, not a rock album. It's not a good way to introduce "new customers" to Ford.
I work in the automotive industry as a product design engineer for a major OEM supplier. A cars development cycle is ~5 years long. This vehicle was in development long before Covid hit. Covid, supply chain, chip shortage, natural disasters, and port delivery issues have caused disruptions, and is constantly creating a moving target. No one has a crystal ball to understand when the major issues will be resolved and everyone is operating hand-to-mouth. It's impossible to predict even 6mo into the future right now.

Yes, design began 3 years before it was introduced and released for reservations. But, the decision when to begin reservations happened during covid and all the supply chain issues. Ford certainly had a choice when telling everyone when deliveries would begin. I mean, the Maverick was supposed to be the truck that brings new customers to Ford. This is a lot of people's first experience with Ford. It's like they got up on a rooftop and yelled, "Hey, look at me!", then fell off the roof, drunk when everyone was watching. Really, it's been a pretty weird process. I'm gonna wait for mine only because I'm in so far. But, I can say with absolute certainty that I will never, ever do this again.
