Your 2022 Maverick XLT Order. 2022-01-27 at 12.24.15 PM.webp

It was a battle ordering this truck through the dealer. They wanted to slap on a $7500 surcharge. After a few weeks of calling Ford Corporate, back and forths with the GM at the dealership, I got them to drop the surcharge completely!

Got lucky today!
  • 1/27/22 - 11:14 am EST
  • March 14th, 2022
  • 2.0 XLT off-road, 4k Tow, Cactus Grey, Spray-in bed liner, Full spare, Floor Liners, Window air deflectors
  • North Carolina
  • Order Date: 11/16/21
  • Classic Ford - Smithfield, NC

This is exactly why I won't even step foot on the lot at Classic anymore. I thought being a small dealer would be better for customer service and it ended up being the worst dealership experience I've ever had. Ended up going with Capital in Raleigh which still wasn't great but no mark-up and accepted x-plan.

Oh how neat. Pushed back three weeks.

THE PRODUCTION DATE FOR YOUR VEHICLE HAS CHANGED.
We have made an adjustment to the production date for your 2022 Maverick XLT.

Your vehicle is now scheduled to be built the week of March 7, 2022. We will continue to keep you informed regarding your vehicle's production status.

Thank you.

2023 Ranger looks much better in my opinion, but then either way you'd be waiting until the next model year. :ROFLMAO: The joy of car shopping in the 2020s.
If they came out with a hybrid or electric 2023 ranger id buy it a heartbeat even if its "expensive".

Id keep that thing for a decade.

I called my dealer and have not been scheduled. Says he has four orders waiting to be scheduled including mine. Seems to average one build a week. With new allocation next week, could be my month.

And Ford gives all the allocations to Long MacArthur, Chapman, and Granger and those of us who are trying to support our small town dealers get screwed over again.
FYI, I haven't seen any come through today for the dealers you mentioned.

I was just called by Grapevine Ford and told that Ford has discontinued making the nybrid and that if I want a Maverick I will have to switch to the ecoboost engine. I called Ford Marketing and while he seemed to be confused he finally said that yes the hybirds have stopped being make. Does anyone have any insight on this? I ordered July 12.

Seems like this would deserve its own thread, if true.

Ain't happening today. With all the pushbacks in production dates, I bet we see maybe no more than a tiny few scheduled.
I can verify that, I finally got my build date of 2/7/22 And Ford has decided to Bump me back 3 weeks to2/28/22😒

"Discontinued" sounds like no more will be made. I think we're talking either they are not taking any more orders or production is temporarily halted/slowed-down due to supply issues.
