When this all happened three weeks ago I filed a complaint with @Ford_Motor_CompanyCustomer service. They have a specific number/dept to report issues with Orders. Despite a long conversation on the phone with Ford they have not followed-up on my case. I called a week ago to ask what the...
Here is an update on my initial complaint to Ford, which I placed on April 26.
The day I called the customer service rep told me they would escalate my case to a manager who would look into it immediately. Ford never called me back.
Today (5/4) I called Ford to ask about the status of my case...
Why do people have such bizarre fixations on Seattle? People who don't even live here...
FTR Washington state is probably better when it comes to Dealer behavior than Maryland, where I purchased my last Ford. Maryland has a whole host of laws to discourage dealer fees. But when I bought my...
Having tried that with a small business I used to own, I wouldn't do it again. Even if I thought I was right. I think them going directly to me to make me happy is the least risk option for them.
Once I'm happy with a truck, I'll revise any online reviews made by either me or my partner.
I didn't want to get into a novel length explanation of the past two years, but I'll summarize.
Between 2020 and 2021 i put reservations on several EVs. A Rivian, A Tesla model Y, A Ford F150 Ligtning. At the same time my partner put a reservation in on a Cybertruck, and started looking at ICE...
Titus owns multiple dealerships. They have many customer orders in the Ford system. They also have a predictable percentage of people who never buy the car they order. I don't doubt they'll find a similar truck. It will likely not be identical to my order. But as long as it's at least an XLT...
I did that already. I have a case number on file with Ford.
I believe that if Ford thinks they've done anything wrong, the dealer could lose future allocations, which they're terrified of, since so few trucks are shipping this year.
Thanks for all the great suggestions. It feels like the dealership is going to find a way to make things right with me. Raising a little hell online definitely helped. It got their attention quickly. If nothing had happened I would have considered other measures.
I've always driven Fords...
We did the bad reviews yesterday online. Today i got a call from one of the higher ups, above the gen manager, at Titus. They saw those reviews on Google right away. They are going to find me a truck to replace my original order. And amazingly they found one for me to test drive today (before...
18 months ago I had considered buying an EV. At the time I could have ordered a Tesla for around $40k. But i second guessed myself, mainly because i have only driven Fords for most of my life, and I bought a Plug-In Escape Hybrid from a dealer in Maryland. The experience with that dealership...
Every dealership i've ever dealt with pulled garbage like that. They make most of their profit on service... and I think most of the service they provide probably isn't needed to begin with.
We ordered more than one vehicle from this dealer, a Maverick and a Ranger. They're trying to tell me that I confused them by placing multiple custom orders, and that despite calling the general manager several times since January to check on the Maverick, discuss financing, discuss trade in...
I know... that's what my partner said. But I really don't want to spend any more energy on this. I ordered this car 5 months ago. I'm not going to get a Maverick from them. They don't have another FX4 sitting on their lot... and neither does any other dealer. So there won't be any solution...
If I don't take it the dealer will simply take our other car, mark it up, and make more money off someone else.
When I called the dealer today to ask about my Maverick the salesman actually said, "I'm selling it to someone else, he's here now." WTF
Ordered a Maverick XLT FX4 in early January from Titus-Will Ford in Tacoma, WA. I got an email today from Ford saying it had been delivered. When I called the dealer they told me they had sold it to someone else.
I called Ford to file a complaint. But the truck has already been driven off...
The Escape kind of already is a non off road version of the Maverick.... and the Bronco Sport, at least mechanically if not in look. The new Transit Connect is going to look a lot more like a minivan/cross over. That will mean Ford's line-up will have a lot of vehicles of similar size and...
