My 2024 Ranger XL Arrvied Today...

I was totally psyched about getting the Ranger, and then when I was driving back to the east coast from Tampa, I had a weird premonition: DON'T DO IT.

This time, I'm going to listen.

(I"m with you on this one...I admit to being a tightwad sometimes.)

Isn't Tampa on the east coast? Not being funny or weird. Just trying to figure out where the Ranger was in relation to where you were going.

how did you get zero interest?

When I ordered my 22 Mav XLT hybrid on 10/13/22 Ford had interest rates of 0%-3 years, .9 for 4 years, 1.9 for 5 years if I remember correctly. I received a VIN for my 22 but it never got built, cancelled, rolled over to a 23. Lost the interest rates :-(

Why didn't you take the Ranger? I would have bought a new Ranger over a Maverick, but the Maverick was $10k cheaper and I'm a tight wad.

Nah, I'm a Maverick owner who put in an order for a 2024 Maverick XLT AWD and an order for a Ranger XL. Walked away from both.

Do you need a geography lesson, young man?

I love the new Rangers! I love the style (looks like a bigger Maverick), has a great payload capability, towing capability, it’s fast even with the base engine, gets decent mpg for its capabilities and you can get all that for under 40k! I watched a YouTube video and the base engine Ranger was faster than all other mid size pickups! If I needed to tow I would get a Ranger! With that said I’m hoping the Maverick will eventually get a 5 foot bed and tow 5k.

If the Maverick can do all that AND stay affordable, I'm with you on that!

That's what Ford offered when the Maverick first came out. Most people wanted to see, and drive one before ordering a truck, but with no money down, and "0" interest, lots of people ordered one. You could always say NO if you didn't like it when it came in.

Well, technically, it's in Tampa Bay, which is east of the Gulf of Mexico.

I'm sure the dealer will sell it pretty quickly either way. If that is what the Ranger looked like from the get go, I wouldn't have gotten a Maverick.
