  5. Blackstone oil analysis report: 10,580-Mile AMSOIL Signature Series UOA on a 2025 Maverick 2.0 EcoBoost MPC (Non-GPF)

I’m not surprised of this BStone report. Why? Your viscosity is low. And BStone hinted of shearing. No fuel in the oil. And flash point. They seem to indicate typical for this engine. And that of full synthetic oils!

79 yo. EB owner. Sound in mind and member. Not a old fart. A fool for PM on anything mechanical.
  10. Fuel pump shuts off while pumping gas.

I watch others filling their vehicles at a pump. Seen them click, hand pumping with gasoline pouring out the tank filler. Mistake. Could put raw gas into the vapor collection can, and that could thrown a CEL light up.
  11. Intake valve cleaning

Prob is. Wife’s 2017 Escape w 1.5 EB has nearly 60k miles. Other thsn normal maintenance of oil/filter, seems to be doing ok. This engine reported has head/block gasket issues, where coolant leaks causing misfires. So far coolant level ok. She can roll.

I used Motorcraft blend and full syn. I would use blend oil, but oil sample analysis reveals low viscosity. Does not meet the oils viscosity ranges, specifications . After some reviews, decided to try Quaker State brand. Its full syn viscosity range slightly higher than the MC variety’s. But...

Mine about the same. Not doing much highway traveling, mostly local short drives. And probably the transmission not going into higher gear.
  18. Extended Warranty Thread about Years to get

Read the Ford Protect warranty again. Buy it and it starts the day you brought the truck, not time you purchase it. Not getting 11 years. It’s 8 yrs, inclusive of factory original warranty. As I see it an owner is getting 5 yrs worth of Ford Protect plan.
  19. Portable vs. Fixed Air Compressors: Which Side Are You On?

I do too. Long ago, brought a Chevy truck. The factory OEM tires leaked. Switched them all out to Good Year. Solved that problem!
