My best outing has been around 55 mpg over the course of a full tank, but on one trip ~57 mpg but damn did I hate how I had to whisper on the gas pedal instead of actually gunning it.

LOL, Yeah I have 2, 2 stroke Street bikes, they need to be driven like they are stolen.Totally understand. The Miata and the motorcycle like to be thrashed.
I used to bitch at those Prius drivers with their eyes glued to their dash and efficiency gauge. Now I are one.I'll start this thread with a score of 62 MPG over 6.1 miles with an average speed of 18.3 MPH. (Over 2 consecutive trips)

I got this number by sticking to L gear on Eco mode when driving through a small town. L gear maximizes regenerative braking, and can be helpful for MPGs at low speeds.
Since L gear is simulated, you can use it in small towns and still reach higher speeds like 40, though I'd probably switch to D if I were going 35+.
Yeah, got over a 100mpg out of a crv loaner the other day but it was 10 miles or less think but did get like 60 something on that 30 mile trip. Know I took pick but can't find :-(You can get any car to read absurd MPG on the trip computer over such short distances.. We need a rule about no MPG posts unless you have traveled at least 50 miles.![]()
Similar: I rented a Sentra hybrid for a month in HI while waiting for our car to get shipped over, and after driving it for two weeks/400 miles was shocked when filling it up by putting in less than 6 gallons. It burns up a lot of gas going UP the saddle road, but fully recharges and goes for a long time on battery from going DOWN.Yeah, got over a 100mpg out of a crv loaner the other day but it was 10 miles or less think but did get like 60 something on that 30 mile trip. Downhill driving has nothing to do with MPG’s.Similar: I rented a Sentra hybrid for a month in HI while waiting for our car to get shipped over, and after driving it for two weeks/400 miles was shocked when filling it up by putting in less than 6 gallons. If the Maverick hybrid had at least a 4kWh battery I suspect it would average over 60mpg. (it has a 1.1kWh). But that would depend on how much braking and downhill driving you do in your area.
I regularly get 50+/-mpgs. But not at 75-80!Well, finally hit 800 mi on single tank. Kept getting close in that 720-750mi, but full tank only 55mph and lower roads, not much AC usage pushed me over that hump. Avg for me (now at 40k miles) when I run AC and do highways at ~75-80mph is still in the 50-55mpg. Which is truly insane. Love it.
