I don't recall the eCVT transmission having a magnetic plug like the PTU and RDU. I could be wrong but found nothing concerning about the trans fluid other than being below the full level.
Yes, the amount pictured was factory fill levels. Both were low. I changed the trans fluid too. If I were to do that again, I would just drain about 1/2 quart and refill. Fluid looked great and my only real concern for the trans would be the factory fill level.
Changed my PTU and RDU fluid at 12k miles. Found both under filled and very dark. They both take such a small amount that it has to be hard on the fluid. Both had debris on the magnetic plugs, but kind of expected due to break in. Good to get the debris out of there early.
"2022 FWD HF45 towing 3200 lbs 25% of the miles. "
Correct me if I am wrong (LIKE I NEEDED TO SAY THAT), a MY22 Hybrid has a 2000 Lbs tow capacity. You have no concerns towing 3200 Lbs on a regular bases? What is the real limit for my MY25 Hybrid AWD with 4K towing? I find wind resistance to...
And what did they want to charge you for the unnecessary alignment? Chances are they would just do a quick check and verify all is good and charge for a full alignment.
My fuel level was not working either, MY25 AWD Hybrid. I cleared the cache memory and checked for an updated version, it loaded version 6.18.0 and is now working.
And if it does look as bad, I will change it again. Not sure what your point is, just let it go??? It is not a diesel engine, if it is black it will be from heat. The 1/2 quart of fluid is cheaper than the lab testing.
I just changed my, MY25 XL Hybrid w/4K towing, PTU and RDU @ 12k miles and in my opinion they were both low, dark fluid, and had debris on the magnetic plugs. Change your fluid early due to the break-in process. There is such a small amount of fluid that it has to get a lot of abuse. I also...
Really does not make sense to me for Ford to invest in making something more similar to the Santa Cruz, considering the low sales volume they experienced. Why not keep improving/upgrading the Maverick or just work at reducing the amount of ongoing recalls.
