I've only had Forscan for a week but I've been digging into different settings. Today I got the global window open to work! The close doesn't seem to work. I'm on version "2.3.47 test" that I got in another thread. I probably changed more settings than I needed to but the only changes I made were in the BdyCM Module.

Yeah, it's not much use for me now.

When I follow the steps in the video open works but holding the lock doesn't do anything. I'm hoping the Forscan gurus on the forum can provide some help.

What is the gadget for ?
A software program called Forscan enables you to open/close your windows with the keyfob. This may only work on certain models. I believe it requires the window to have auto up and down at the door switch. I don't know if XL/XLT have that.

Why would anybody want to do that? Just press the button on the door.

On a sunny day, it’s nice to remotely roll down the windows to blow off some heat a bit before getting in. Not a necessary feature, but still nice to have.

Yup. Or to close them if it's raining. It's becoming more common on a lot of brands.

As a side note, It's really perplexing to me why Ford and others have no-cost features like this turned off. Wouldn't they benefit from selling a car with more features?

On a new Mustang, you can put the windows down remotely but not up, so you don't kill a pet or a kid, and you can remotely start the car, if locked, to get the [preset] AC or heater going, [only stays running for a short while so you won't die if in the garage] but once you put the windows down , no remote start. Presume it was a safety consideration, and in Florida, cars get hot and rain happens quickly so both are very desirable features! The best feature is being able to lock, unlock, get in and start car with the fob in your pocket!
