No shit? I rooted every android phone I ever had. That’s sucks. I’m apple now and the MyQ works very nicely.

I velcrowed mine to the top of that cubby, where no one can see it.

I did it on my last ride (on the sun visor) but during the summer the heat melted the glue and the remote always ended up on the floor... **Edit** It's not very visible (with and without flash):

I don't even know if I could purchase a replacement garage door opener for that cheap.

I use this, no buttons needed. Control with voice commands on your phone/Android Auto. Gives you notifications when the door has opened or closed and also gives you an overtime warning if the door has been left open, optional.

Yep. App complained about root and refused to install. Definitely a Whiskey Tango Foxtrot moment for me.

You can control 2 doors with this if you buy another door sensor. Only issue is it cost more than the kit. Works on overhead door and genie brands too along with many others.

I have the same Chamberlin MyQ and app. Super convenient as it can open the garage from your phone or apple watch anytime, from any car, or anywhere in the world. Really convenient when you're coming home from a bike ride or doing yard work and you don't have your car keys on you.
