I have the same Chamberlin MyQ and app. Super convenient as it can open the garage from your phone or apple watch anytime, from any car, or anywhere in the world. Really convenient when you're coming home from a bike ride or doing yard work and you don't have your car keys on you.
Congrats on the new truck, and nice little going-away write-up. I totally get it... I miss the toughness of my 2013 Tacoma and the fact that it could pull 6500lbs, but for 99% of my driving the Maverick is the better truck -- (far) more comfortable, more fun to drive and of course it gets 2-3x...
I think mine had 17 miles on it. My Miata had 31. My 2019 Volvo, bought used, had 19,500. Point is, you never know how those miles got on there, but chances are it doesn't make any difference. Your truck will be just fine.
The crazy thing is that the tariffs are just throwing a grenade into the free market. Let's say Fords go up 25% in price. Do you think every un-tariffed car maker is just going to leave prices alone? No -- they'll know that they can raise prices 15-20% and still be a better deal than the Fords...
I never understand this kind of thing, either. Trading from a 2024 to a 2025 will cost thousands, yet the poster is worried about a 1-2mpg hit which would comparatively be mere pennies over the life of the vehicle?
Mine did the same thing. It seems the pin/wedge part bends down and doesn't lock in. I think I've need to order a replacement but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
I haven't read through all the posts so it may have already been mentioned, but maybe the values of '22s are starting to drop due to the likelihood that their 3/36 warranties are about to end?
Honest question -- if Ford offered a "Buttons and Knobs" package for $1,100 or so, would you buy it? Or would you prefer that the Maverick price stays low?
I wouldn't worry about it. Either they're going to be old guys taking their time or hourly workers looking to have as easy of a day as they can, diving slow enough that they don't have to do anything else if they get back too early that day. And keep in mind that people that do this kind of...
Seriously, a 20 minute video to sum up what you could post in a text of about 4 typed lines?
I get that these guys are just doing whatever gimmicky "story" they can to get clicks/make money, but come on...
The Mav still starts at about $24K. The "norm" is the fact that we all want so many features, options, styling add-ons, etc. that it's routine to add $10-$20K to the price of a vehicle. At the end of the day Ford still offers a lot of value in the Maverick; buyers just spend a lot more for...
No suggestion on a cover, but I find that putting on a nitrile or latex glove and basically brushing/rolling the fur by hand makes it a LOT easier to get off the seats/surfaces so you can vacuum it up.
10K miles with no problems. Most noteworthy observation of the year? Early on I liked visiting this forum for information and ideas. Now I barely check in here because it feels like it's social media whores trying to get clicks for their videos and online vendors hawking cheap Chinese made...
Really a pointless question without a lot more details. A 100K mile truck that was babied would likely be a better buy than a 15K truck that was abused.
Me too. Hopefully flexible EV platforms will allow for a wide range of vehicles without too much engineering needed. Little trucks, sporty cars, even due-buggy type runabouts could be built off a common small EV architecture. Just plug and play the body and interior.
