Chamberlain removed the ability to control MyQ via Alexa.I removed all my garage door remotes from all my vehicles - I use the MQ app on my iPhone to open my garage doors now, if you load the app on your info system you can simply use the voice button on the steering and ask Alexa to open your door from anywhere…
Can it detect any voice if you ask Alexa, Siri or Google to open the door? This would be a security concern and the reason Chamberlain removed it.I went with this myself
eKyro Smart Garage Door Opener - Universal WiFi Remote Controller Compatible with Alexa, Google Home, iPhone, Siri, Android, Door Left Open Alert, Door Security Systems, Updated Model - Amazon.com
Has an app that will show up on your carplay so you can open and close the door from there or just tell siri.
I don't know how Alexa would work but for Siri and Google you can set your own phrase to open the door from your vehicle/phone. Google also asks for a pin before opening. Can it detect any voice if you ask Alexa, Siri or Google to open the door? This would be a security concern and the reason Chamberlain removed it.
I have my Liftmaster/Chamberlin synced with my Alarm.com security system. That system follows commands from Siri or Alexa to control the opener.Chamberlain removed the ability to control MyQ via Alexa.
Hmmmm... When you have a three button do you tell alexa to push button #3 or?Not having a built in opener was probably my biggest objection to the Maverick. Yes, I can clip one on the visor, but why? It doesn't look good. I have a 2023 so there's the cubby, but a Chamberlain opener doesn't really fit. What I did was buy a small one off Amazon (no longer available), then bought the filler piece for the cubby behind the cup holder. Throw it in there. Not the best solution, but it work. By the way, I need a 3 button controler.
I put Velcro on the back of these little 3 button controllers and place them out of sight, but easy to reach. Not having a built in opener was probably my biggest objection to the Maverick. Why are people so willing to settle for cheap junk instead of spending an hour making a good, permanent solution? Why are people so opposed to using the remote that came with their garage opener?
