In the chart, what is: 2022 Final Orders due to Donlen1, May 16 for EB's, ASP for hybrids and what is: 2022 Final orders due date of May 20?? I am aware that Donlen is a large American fleet and transportation company out of Illinois. How is this related to fleet sales. Tim, Fordvideoguy, once said fleet orders are priority 99. Perhaps just at his dealership. We have seen obvious fleet vehicles, like 15 at a time, in photos from car lots.

Fleets sales, I thought, were not to hold up retail sales. If just ONE fleet sale occurred with same trim and options of a retail order still waiting, especially very early retail orders, then something is not right in my humble opinion. I understand Ford has a business model to maximize profitability; business models should also incorporate methods for long term existence. In other words, if want a loyal customer, don't treat him like crap.

Does anyone know what those chart headings mean??
I goggled it and the best I got was ordering code . They are looking finsh my 2022 hybrids this year it looks like . Or trying to

Oh, don't think I'm not going to call Ford and complain. Maybe they'll offer a discount and put a rebate on our accounts? Can't hurt to ask.
How about a Domino's model, free delivery after xxx days delay to delivery. I could use the $1495 to buy some mods, probably from Ford!

So I've read everyone's opinion in this thread. In my uneducated opinion, here's what's going to happen...

The Hermosillo production line doesn't stop. 22 orders continue to be built, relative to constraints until Oct 21?

Oct 24, the production line continues making the 22 orders relative to constraints, but now they will be labeled 2023. New 23 orders will start being built if no constraints, but after any 22 same orders. The contrainded 22 orders will mix in with the constrained 23 orders mostly in FIFO if possible.

I don't believe there will any changes to the 23 model, or very minor fixes. If you have a 22 order now being built as a 23 you may not be able to change anything without going to the back of the line, unless you haven't been scheduled. If there are option changes to the 23MY, it will only be available to those who order a 23.

I think Ford will price protect 22 orders that haven't been altered.

Then on Dec 23rd, my 22 23 Lariat arrives at my dealership, Dec 24th we have a massive snowstorm so I won't have it for Xmas. Just MHO

Pure speculation: since the Bronco Sport is built at the same plant, look to their options for some possibilities for MY23 Mavericks. The ones that come to mind: Bronze Smoke Metallic color option, and the B&O sound system and/or Tech Package being offered at XLT trim.

People getting more than one Maverick then figuring they will sell at a profit how confident are you the market will still be there to make money.
Why not go to a casino put 5K on red.
Exactly the only question is will inflation or supply catching up to demand crater the market first. My bet is on inflation. I also don't think record high gas prices will be enough either to get the non commercial using big truck crowd to downsize.

Exactly. If my garage was big enough I would have a F250 with 7.3L. Don't need it on a daily basis but I like trucks compared to cars. 7000 lbs vs 4000 lbs.

Hey all, I thought I'd share some news from my visit to a Ford a dealer last weekend. I placed an order for a base xl. The news is that instead of orders being submitted for August he told me on "good authority" they will likely be able to start submitting orders again as soon as June. Not big jump in time me but its better than later than August. If my order actually does get placed in June I'll update

I found additional information about MY22 & 23 orders. My source is a granite solid website.

MY22 last day to change an order is 08/04/22
MY 22 balance out day is 10/21/22 (old news)

MY23 Job #1 day is the term used to denote the first production week and it's on 10/24/22 as in the original post.

The MY23 order guide will be available on or about 08/15/22. Like most people I'd like to see it published at least a week in advance so MY23 customers can compare, finalize decisions and have their person pre-orders ready to submit at 12:01am on the 15th.

Question: If there are any changes to the MY23, when would that typically be announced?

August 16 unless Ford wants to make a big deal about a special package like what they did to the Bronco this week.
@fordvideoguy why would the changes for the MY23 Maverick be available one day AFTER the order banks open for the MY23 Ford Maverick Hybrid on 8/15?

I really would like to know what options are available and the costs for the MY23 Maverick Hybrid when I order not afterwards.

My Dealer-Sheehy Ford of Richmond- said that I would not get price protection and would have to pay the 2023 price increases but would be in the first Order Bank. That sucks! Depending on the price increases I may drop from an XLT to an XL.
IF your Maverick Order was accepted into the system before the cut-off date and is not built in MY2022, Ford has stated you will get price protection. I would call Ford and talk with them

Simple, the car market doesn't change in 30 seconds, it takes months, and if I see the market starting to change, I'll just sell my current Maverick for Carvana for 8K over what I paid, and wait for the next one.

Sadly the housing market changed over night in 2008.

I commented that before they moved the date and before I talked to the Brand Manager and he told me that order guides will be available before the order banks opening up. He didn't say how much before the 15th. I assume about a week or about the time that they switch over the 22MY orders that don't get scheduled to 23MY orders.

Not true, there were plenty of indicators before it happened, people just ignored them.

1. The first warning came in 2006 when housing prices started falling and mortgage defaults began rising. The Fed and most analysts ignored it. They welcomed a slowdown in the over-heated housing market.

2. In 2007, the subprime mortgage crisis hit. Lenders had allowed too many people to take out subprime mortgages. When they defaulted, the banks called in their credit default swap That drove insurance companies like the American International Group to bankruptcy. By mid-summer, banks had stopped lending. This really caused crash.

Until auto manufactures can keep up with demand you wont see a crash in the car market.

Okay what I see is crazy inflation. Printing presses running 24/7/365 to keep our economy afloat at least till end of the year.
When the money stops flowing there will be carnage. Real unemployment is double digits.
So it could happen pretty quick. I hope not.
