As the email sent to me by the General Manager of my dealership indicated, (I quoted it in a post on the previous page), some orders, even going back as far as June of last year like mine, may not get built this model year. Clearly, my dealer had very few allocations, not enough to handle the orders he took. No allocations, no truck no matter how early the order was made. It all depends on the clout of the dealer and mine is a small mom/pop operation in a little country town. I should have known better but wanted to keep things local, never suspecting that you could not order and receive a Ford from a Ford dealership!

According to the email I was sent, Ford told my dealer that some orders would have to be carried over to the 2023 model year, even those in June and July like mine. So be prepared for that if you ordered early and do not receive an email from Ford today that says your order has been scheduled.
But Ford sent me an email (The Sorry For the Delay FITS Email) saying it will be a few short months and I will have my Maverick. (tongue in cheek)

I don't think she even notices anymore. Kind of like how you stop noticing a bad smell after a while.
my wife still notices.

The process to date is nobody will tell you anything or communicate in any way. The region and dealer decide and it all comes down to allocations. Dealer has some then you get truck - doesn’t have any then no truck for you.
If you order your Maverick from a dealer with no allocation, does that mean your truck will never be built? I "built" my truck online and after submitting was defaulted to a dealer closest to my location to process the order. I had no idea about allocations and how it ultimately determines if your truck will be built. Had I known I would have driven straight to a dealer with allocations.

Wondering if Ford Motor company can be held liable for
The wait… especially since their internet sent us to dealers without allocations? As customers we knew nothing about allocations but Ford knows, and knew when they gave us dealers to complete our orders?

LOL held liable for the wait. Did Ford guarantee you a delivery date?

They did offer a vehicle to be made, but then sent the email to a dealer that literally could order, with very little chance that the vehicle you ordered would be made…

It's a no go this week of scheduling 🙄 I stopped at the dealership this afternoon as well just see if they any new info...nope, but I did verify agreed price is still MSRP 😁 so that's a huge plus. Good luck to the rest of the orders.

Well that is interesting... but now it really makes me wonder why they didn't just go the extra step to put the button in. Sounds like the behind-the-scenes stuff is already in place! Now I'm wondering if you could aftermarket or hack a button in the future.
Maybe… the key fob does have a chip in it to authenticate with the vehicle. You would have to find a way around that.
