When you compare the Sync 4 screen and AWD on hybrid models, there is no match.
And that is worth a few more thousand dollars.
When the AWD hybrid hits the road, I feel the resale value of FWD hybrid will suddenly go down and then stabilize. There should be a gap of 8-10 k dollars which seems justified.

I already sold my 23 Hybrid because I need a truck with AWD and 4k towing package to replace my F150. I need a car that does great in the snow and can also tow my small camper, so I saw the writing on the wall that I needed to sell my Maverick to get an AWD. I will be placing an order tomorrow as soon as the order banks open up.

Those that own Hybrids - will we see the "value" drop on the FWD version because people will prefer the AWD version? Do you regret buying your FWD hybrid and not waiting for the AWD that we knew was coming at some point?

I traded my 22 ECO Lariat for a 24 hybrid Lariat and love it. Drove from Arizona to Nebraska and back to Arizona. 2782 miles got 36.6 MPG. 78 TO 80 on interstate 68 to 70 on reg highways. Has all the power I need. Never lost speed up steep grades.

I doubt it. The current prices have gone up almost 30% since 2022.

>>>>Do you regret buying your FWD hybrid and not waiting for the AWD that we knew was coming at some point? It replaced both mt '07 Tacoma DoubleCab 4x4 and my '14 Chevy Volt PHEV. I have chains for snow and ice, and I am just really careful about where I drive on my farm.

No. I waited 20 years for Honda to make a hybrid Ridgeline. I gave up and tried to buy a '22 XLT Hybrid. When Ford forced the order to become a '23 Hybrid for $3K more I still thought it was worth it. A new '25 XL starts at $28K without AWD. I may, in the future, trade for one with AWD, but I'm not in a hurry for it.

No complaints whatsoever. Every truck I’ve had since 1972 (yes, I’m that old) has been rwd, and almost every car since the 1990s has been fwd. No transition for a fwd truck.

Also, I can tow same as my (rwd) 4.0 v6 Ranger.

No compromise here.

No regrets here either. Where I live in North Carolina FWD is fine; if I need to tow something, I've got an Expedition. The AWD system just adds more weight and complexity to an already complex vehicle. Besides, if it's like our Subaru Outback, if you have to replace one tire you have to replace them all.

No, not really worth a few more thousand dollars.

In fact from the posts here with the complaints of the loss of physical buttons for the Climate Control it seems like a lot of posters would value it less than Sync 3.

Again not going to happen.

Many posts here show no additional value to them for AWD vs FWD.

Same for me as I have no need for AWD.

I have a 24 hybrid XL on order; however, I am debating changing it to a '25 AWD hybrid XL. The dealer said they'd give the same deal ($300 off, which is better than any other local dealer so far). We get on average 5' of snow a year (though less than that the last couple of years). While I've survived with FWD all these years, my & my wife's parents are aging and need additional help these days. Being able to help them regardless of snow would be a benefit. Plus we are pretty outdoorsy so go off the beaten path sometimes, so AWD could be beneficial again.

I hope to decide today whether to go for a 25 instead. I really like the 24s HVAC controls though ... way better than the touch screen. The 24s HVAC controls are perfect in my opinion, a big upgrade from our Sienna & Prius V.

Very interested in the upgrade, but zero regrets. It's rare I need more towing than what I have, and I tend to believe driving in the snow, is about 80% about the driver, (unless you have bald tires or a RWD pickup with no weight in the back, etc.)

AWD and 4k towing are preferred, but I'm not rushing out to upgrade. That said, the price difference after selling my current one is not terrible, IMO. I built a new one online and there's a fair amount of value in the packages.

Probably wait until my wife is ready to upgrade her Fit, and pass this one on to her.

No regrets. 31,000 miles on our 23 XLT hybrid. Last trip got 51 mpg. May buy a 25. But dang glad I got in when I did. Saved a lot money and a very comfortable ride..

The hybrid is OKAY for city driving and to be towed. Of all the models it's the only one that can be towed. I'm not fond of CVT transmissions. Over the years, regardless of make, they seem to have a limited life span. If you keep a vehicle till the wheels rust away, this could be an unwanted expense.

The battery is the other issue. As with most hybrids, I'm guessing it's life is around 8 years. That's another expense most don't think about. Safety is another issue with hybrid batteries. I haven't heard of a Maverick hybrid spontaneous combusting, yet, but it would probably always be in the back of my mind. The hybrid battery of a Land Rover, in the U.K., spontaneously combusted in a parking deck and took 1500 vehicles with it.

No... I'll stick with my 2 letre gas burner. Depending on traffic and conditions, I can still eek out really good highway mileage.

Lots of mistaken thoughts in this post, guessing you are older? Like 60+?

ZERO regrets! None, NADA, zilch! I love my truck. Had to get something anyway as Ford Credit was getting kinda tired of my constant 2-month extensions until my truck arrived.

I've driven FWD in snow before (many Fusions as demo models when I was at the dealership) so not worried at all. And with the 2025, NO Atlas Blue (love the color) and the big NO, NO hardwired keypad! 🤬🤬 I'll die on that hill complaining how stupidly idiotic Ford was for deleting it. And now hearing the cost difference, yeah, I'm good. 48-52 mpg on the constant. I'm very good!! 🙏🙏

In reality, if I was to order a 25 today, I would forgo any AWD, I don't need it for my purposes and in my opinion it just adds more complexity and weight. Others, of course have different needs.

No regrets! IAH, if I could have fit a Ridgeline in my garage, and they were more reasonably priced, I would have bought one. I am pleased with my hybrid. I won't be driving it in Ohio winter conditions, as i winter in Florida, and it is staying north. With 1289 miles on it I am averaging 43.1 mpg. Yesterday I ran through rain with some farm mud on many of the roads, and front wheel drive, and the Conti's handled it superbly. Four wheel drive is a waste in 2/3 of fairly flat Ohio, anyways.
