I don't think hidden damage is that uncommon. I had a bump onto the fender of a 15 year old car. . No damage except for a slow leak from a small crack in transmission cooler line. Insurance paid for the repair.
My 25 had 38.
My friend who used to sell cars for a major dealer said most sales managers and salespeople do not own cars for themselves. They took a car from the lot home every night...the challenge he said , was to find a car with more than a gallon of gas in the tank
My dad said the same thing. I repeated it to my kids and grandkids. They have never run out of gas! But the real reason is so that in the winter if you are stuck in a storm you can idle your car longer to stay warm .
The way I handle these issues. Calmly walk in. Smile on face. Ask for manager. If not available, wait. Explain issue. Say" I am leaving here in my vehicle or an equal loaner. You chose. "
Then sit down and wait and don't leave.
Yup. I have bought dozens of cars. In most cases the dealer has tried to pull something over on me. Know your prices before going in. Have written notes. Take your time. For your research. Congratulations. You did well.
He was a stranger that came up to me in parking lot and saw my truck. Never saw him again. Also I have had two people come up to me in parking lot and want to buy truck. I didn't sell it.
Yup .talked to older gentleman who couldn't get up his icy hill into his garage with hybrid .left truck parked on road. Thinking of selling after one month of ownership due to perceived poor performance. Was not aware vehicle had different settings. Obviously sales rep did a poor job of...
We are either trading in or selling our 23 hybrid inorder to get a 25 all wheel drive hybrid. Roads around here require all wheel or 4 wheel in the winter. Selling or trading will depend upon the dealers offer which they won't provide untill the 25 is built
This is absolutely correct. The drivers side rear wheel cavity cover is a problem. It's the most significant design error in the Maverick in my opinion. Will it be fixed in '25?
No regrets. 31,000 miles on our 23 XLT hybrid. Last trip got 51 mpg. May buy a 25. But dang glad I got in when I did. Saved a lot money and a very comfortable ride..
Same here. Three recalls, all fixed in my driveway. 23 hybrid. I think my mileage has increased but hard to compare due to a variety of road conditions.
Yup, don't think I would sell my 23 hybrid, 27000 miles for less than 40,000. I paid 27,000 with a couple options.on this mornings 77 mile trip I got 49 mpg. Yes it was hilly and I didn't drive over 68.
Three software recalls. They came to my house to fix.took 15 min each time.
