Absolutely no regrets. We have had it for a year now, about 6500 miles, and the hybrid is everything we thought it would be and more.

OP should maybe create a separate poll for a Hybrid and an EB Maverick. I suspect there may even be more satisfaction with one or the other.

But as it stands at the moment, only 14 out of 300 (who actually have their Maverick) have a complaint. A 4.66% remorse rate is damned good for anything.

Hey everyone!

I always see how much people love their mavericks regardless of the long wait time. A common thing said on here is, “it was worth the wait” even with people waiting 500+ days. I haven’t received my maverick yet but I’m beyond excited and I’m sure I will love it.

What are somethings that you wish were different that would make you love the maverick even more? Please don’t say “I wish I didn’t wait X amount of time” or “fords production process”. We all hate it lol
RESEARCHED WAITED 5 MONTHS, NEVER SAW ONE, NEVER DROVE ONE!!!!!!!!!!! 4K MILES AND LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS TRUCK. Wouldn't change a thing and well worth the wait!!!!!!!!!!

At 86, I would be close too the front of the pack...lol.
Ford may have aimed this at first time truck buyers below 30....but they hit a much broader clientele...74 here. Us older folks recognize a great deal when we see it.

Yes. I figure this is the last vehicle I will ever buy and I want it to be up to date, nice, and comfy.

Best vehicle I’ve ever owned. I put in my order, waited about 500 days and got it for the original MSRP. Paid cash so I’m quite happy with my retirement vehicle. Should be my last vehicle transaction ever.

My Maverick Hybrid has been good. Has averaged 40.3 mpg since new, hand calculated. It has luxury features I have never had all at the same time.

The heated steering wheel is nice on frosty evening after going out. The hybrid motor is as strong as I need it to be. When driving around town it is such a quiet vehicle when running in electric. The seat warmers keep my lady friend's dairy-air warm. Seats are comfortable. The adjustable lumber hit just the right spot for me. YMMV. If you switch the radio to "Driver Focused" mode, the audio quality is very much improved. Somewhat airy sounding with nice instrument separation.

The ride is good but no Cadillac on broken pavement. The steering is a bit strange with a FWD 121 inch wheelbase, definitely creates some odd steering angles. The steering tracks well on the interstate if you are not in the semi truck grooves. A recent YouTube vid from Driving Sports TV showed a 7.77 sec 0-60. As with most hybrids, it has excellent passing power. Be awake when you punch it, the bumper of the car ahead of you approaches quickly. Love that instant torque.

Now for my remorse items. The front suspension is cheap and underdamped, especially the rebound. If you hit a up bump at speed the crash is well, the worst I have ever experienced. The rear is better than the front, even with the torsion beam. I may get a strut tower brace for the front and at least make it feel more rigid. The effing radio is my other bone of contention. Lately it likes to turn on at full volume until the processor catches up. My reverse back up camera will stay on the screen for upwards of a minute sometimes. Yesterday it took many miles before Android Auto would connect. The update helped some but still just a horrible radio. Let's organise a Class Action Lawsuit about the Infotainment screen, that simply does not meet a standard of acceptability.

Overall I am very happy with my purchase. Have not had to go to the dealer for anything. But when the competition brings out their offerings in this class, I will be taking a look.

YMMV

I waited a year and two weeks for it to arrive. Paid sticker and was able to get the zero percent interest as that was in place when I placed the order in July of 2022. Took delivery in Aug of 2023, I do wish the bed was 5' but other then that is has worked for my needs. Come this May I will be leaving for a 3 weeks drive from the east coast heading to Yellowstone with many stops on the way out and back the way I have mapped it out about 6500 mile run.

I paid $7K over MSRP for my EcoBoost. I wanted it so bad. My old vehicles were in the shop in early 2022 more than they had ever been and I wanted to go on road trips without worry. And I did. I am 69 years old and my waiting time is limited.

My latest perusal of Autotrader indicates that even EcoBoosts are still selling at a $5-$10K premium over a higher MSRP in my area. So no remorse.

The Ecoboost is the best truck I ever owned. As a youth, I always wanted a MiniCooper S. In my aged and somewhat addled mind, the EcoBoost is a more comfortable MiniCooper that can haul 15 bags of horse feed, and it doesn't leak oil or have Lucas Electric gremlins. Perfect!
I'm embarrassed about how much I paid for mine... It's absurd. I was in the same position as you, my 2015 F150 needed $15K worth of work and I my only option was trading it in for a new vehicle with a new loan. I had positive equity even with it being broken but... That inflation fee, the transportation fee, tax title ect put me back up to financing $47,000 😔 I have every option available in my Lariat Ecoboost and I do love it but wow was it expensive. I paid $56k for my f150 in when I ordered custom with a supercrew long bed, so I was already used to paying over $800 a month but I wish it could have been less ( I mean it's half the truck right? 😂)

I now have 750 miles on my 2023 Hybrid and I am loving thus far. I will be doing a 3 to 4 hour drive at the end of the month and will see it's highway manners/comfort then. My primary daily driver prior to the Maverick was a 2015 Subaru Forester Touring (Touring being the well equipped model) and the two main things I didn't get that I ordered were the Adaptive Cruise control and the spray in bedliner. (withheld due to constraints at time of manufacture) What really bothers me though was how the dealer snuck in an extra mark up of nearly 4K. At the time I ordered I asked if they would add ADM and was told no. I could have walked away but I was happy to actually receive it against the odds of Hybrid production.

No radio or camera issues on mine. Maybe it needs some system updating? Or maybe I'm just lucky so far.

When anyone starts feeling bad about paying $0 to $5k over MSRP, just take a look at Cars . com.

Today, there are 4 - 2023 Lariat Hybrids listed...$40,000 to $42,900. There are 26 - 2022 Lariat Hybrids listed with up to 39,032 miles. Lowest price is $37,500 and highest is $44,950. I didn't check packages on any of them.
