I forgot Lariats do that reset thing.
I don't know why. Do you like that?
XL and XLT don't.
I think that would drive me nuts.
Actually, I do like that "this trip" reset all the time. I can see the difference between going to and coming from the same location. It is interesting to me as i travel some longer hills one way and have to pull up them going home. So fun to see the difference in MPG on those short routes.

I suppose if someone towed you for 50 miles you would add those miles in to get even higher F/E.
If you add 50 towed miles, you would also have to add the gas used by the towing vehicle for those 50 miles. Unless the towing vehicle and Maverick (hitched together) get better mpg than the Maverick by itself, you will get lower F/E.

Okay I'm the only one, because thumping my chest to tell people I get 42MPG makes me feel good.

Including elec miles is your fuel consumption calculations, is to me claiming my stock hybrid completes a timed 1/4 mile in under 10 seconds and over 100 mph. What I don’t disclose is I started 200 feet behind the timers so when I broke the plane I was traveling at 50 mph. But I completed a timed 1/4 in under 10 seconds. Same thing !

I'm not the one who thinks their hybrid gets 47mpg. lol
I just made a silly claim like the 47 mpg folks.

I just feel saying I get 28 mpg plus another 140 free elec miles is more realistic.

Your 1/4 mile analogy is equivalent to being pushed, or having a rolling 100mph start, before beginning to estimate your mpg and failing to disclose it.

If I put 1 gallon of fuel in the tank and I'm able to go 42 miles, then my calculated mpg is 42. This assumes: starting from a standstill, on a windless day, on a flat surface, no getting towed by another vehicle or getting pushed by any external energy source.

The hybrid electric motors and batteries are an internal source of power. Subtracting the miles that contribute to your mpg figures is like subtracting the mileage contribution of one of your engine cylinders. If you had a solar array, on the roof charging your hybrid batteries, that would be an external source of power--subtracting that contribution would be somewhat understandable.

I'm more so just thinking in terms of actually getting the truck built
I wanted a Hybrid. If I wanted the turbo, I would've ordered it.

My '23 XL Hybrid phone order was built without rollover to MY 24, with no deposit and OTD $1700 price below sticker. If they told me I would have to convert the order to turbo, I would have just canceled the order, because that's not what I wanted.

Order what you want and just be patient. If your dealer has allocations, it will eventually get built. If you think switching to the turbo will get your vehicle built, and if that doesn't matter to you, then go ahead and change your order.

Hey-

We can all stop now.

A) you can't reason with someone who is unreasonable.

B) you can't educate someone who does not wish to be educated.

C) some people think the earth is flat

We have two Lariat hybrids on order. One was a rollover for me and the other was a new order placed in July by my daughter. Ours was scheduled for Oct 23rd and hers for Oct 30. Both were in built status last week and waiting on shipping. So from my perspective ordering a Hybrid will not necessarily slow down your order. The trim level you choose along with options and dealer allocations might. We ordered from two separate dealers. Our only options were the moon roof.
