  1. Rust on roof bordering windshield

Wow, that's frightening how fast that became perforated! That metal appears to have zero rust protection. I periodically check all my cars in that area as I've found rock chips and rust from said rock chips on all vehicles so far except my Maverick. But none rusted that fast, so I'll make sure...
  2. Elevate Rack .... aluminum row boat?

The elevate rack is 750 lbs I believe. So if the weight is spread over 3 attachment points, each point would be about 80 lbs assuming 240 lbs total.
  3. Elevate Rack .... aluminum row boat?

My question isn't necessarily can I get it on and off ... it's more .... is it safe to strap on the rack/roof?
  4. Elevate Rack .... aluminum row boat?

I've watched videos of ..... fishmen .... I just need multiple motors and extra gas tanks. No worries!
  5. Elevate Rack .... aluminum row boat?

A quick search tells me that an average weight for a 12' v-bottom would be about 200 lbs
  6. Elevate Rack .... aluminum row boat?

I recognize this would probably require a roof rack too to get sufficient distance between contact points. But is it possible to safely carry say a 12' aluminum row boat on an elevate rack instead of using a trailer? Why rack instead of trailer? Trailers are bulky, so I really don't have room to...
  7. Cargo light internal housing is melting/cracking

Yeah, I got them before I saw someone posted about the Sylvanias. If/when they burn out, I'll replace them with the Sylvanias.
  8. Cargo light internal housing is melting/cracking

I'm replying to myself lol. I installed the Lasfits recently, and when replacing the bulbs I could see my housing was at the very beginning of melting (very slightly distortion), so I'm glad I replaced them.
  9. Just bought a BAK revolver X4TS hard roll-up tonneau cover for my 2025 Tremor and thought I should share my experience

I ordered mine in January 2025. The replacement lid arrived a week or two ago. Bak has all the data though because you put it in for the warranty request, so if there was an update and the new lid is skinnier, Bak would know that and should have sent shims or new rails. I will say they are...
  10. Just bought a BAK revolver X4TS hard roll-up tonneau cover for my 2025 Tremor and thought I should share my experience

Oh man, I got the Revolver X4Ts with the rails for the Elevate rack. I love the rails, I hate this cover. Ive had 5 defects now. 1) original lid the side rubber seals weren't fully attached. Bak sent me superglue for me to repair myself. 2) end cap broke. They sent me 4! 3) screw holding latch...
  11. Maverick Steering Issues - Bad Sound

Yeah, that is a real good perspective Darryl, thanks for that info. It really provides some light into the dilemma you all face as techs, and info to hopefully help everyone who reads this to help the techs do their jobs efficiently. I forget that I really live in a bubble in our industry, but...
  12. Maverick Steering Issues - Bad Sound

Awesome! Kudos on actually caring, and i truly mean that! Can you imagine if all techs and dealers operated like that? It shows that you really care to solve the problem! I hope you inspire and encourage your fellow techs to do the same!

The XL does it too. As I've said in the past, #keeplaststate ... it shouldn't be hard to program as my other cars accomplished it. For me it is a minor inconvenience, but has made starting the car a multi step process.

Yes, but at least in my situation I'm talking about tue behavior when the vehicle is started. So I can have the hvac completely off. When I turned it off, the ac was also set to off. Next time I start the vehicle the hvac it typically on again, and depending on the conditions the ac is also on...

Well ... I let Ford know that I didn't appreciate your appreciation, so they should unappreciate it. So there!

Oh ... OK, I stand corrected and take that back then. I look at it as my 25 has two HVAC settings ... auto and semi-auto lol.

Reading the various threads on this, it seems like it's a Sync 4 quirk, so the 22-24's don't exhibit the same habits.

The HVAC does automatically come on even when not in auto. I almost always turn the HVAC off when I get out of my Mav, especially in winter. About 80% of the time when I get back in, the fan is back on. I don't understand how the algorithm decides to keep it off 20% of the time, but it seems to...
