I am still having the same issue, NO gauges /no Lights /No Start cannot switch the transmission /cannot move vehicle. I HAVE BEEN HAVING THIS PROBLEM SINCE I FIRST GOT THE TRUCK. ITS A HYBRID. THe truck has been to the Fajardo Ford dealership 8 times for this issue. The Ford dealership that sold me the truck for 37,300$ USD. cannot seem to fix the problem. they have had it now for over one week. I have only put on the truck in almost 2 years 13,019 miles because I cannot start it often. The car 12volt battery shows around 11 volts when this condition show It's ugly head, I am in a hurry and the truck will not drive. I told Ford in Puerto Rico that the battery 12 volt does not hold the charge. they say its tests fine., THEN WHY DOES IT NOT WORk at 11 volts. Should I contact a lawyer for the lemon law? The dilership has had my truck in for this problem forfa total of about 5 weeks inn the last year. Is any elese having bthis same issue , no srt/ no gauges noe shiting not bable to drive ????????

Sorry to hear that.

A new AGM battery in the US is under $200. I would probably try that considering the time you've lost waiting on the dealership. Bunch of threads on installing AGM batteries in hybrids, search.

I Googled Puerto Rico lemon law and it looks like you have recourse. PR also has local laws, and there are lawyers who will represent you. Google is your friend.

Sometimes a call from a lawyer to a service manager works wonders. Ask me how I know (unnamed Toyota dealership in MA).

2. The Uniform Commercial Code
The UCC applies to all 50 states (and D.C., Puerto Rico, etc.) and covers contracts dealing with the sale of products. The UCC gives the consumer the right to a refund or replacement of a lemon. The UCC, however, does not define a Lemon, so it's up to a court to decide if an auto company must give you a refund or a new car. The Magnuson-Moss act and many state lemon laws also provide for attorney fees under the UCC.

The battery voltage needs to be monitored when its turned off, when its at idle and when its driving. It would also be helpful to see what DTCs its showing and it will also show what the battery voltage was when the DTCs were thrown. If the battery or a drain is not the issue, I would have the dealer check if the DC/DC CONVERTER is faulty and needs replaced!

Sounds like a frustrating experience, with no help from the dealer..

Like what was mentioned before, first thing I would look at is replacing the battery with an AGM and doing a BMS RESET/NEW Battery Calibration. See if the problem persists.. if it does, I would make sure the dealer is looking into the DC/DC converter being faulty or anything related to it, because the DC/DC converter is what maintains your 12v charge while driving in a HYBRID Maverick. It acts as an alternator among other things..

Sorry you are having this problem. You should not have to do this BUT consider putting a good charger/maintainer (similar to a noco genius 5 or genius 10) on the underwood jump posts as often as you can or at least when 12v shows 12.1 volts or less. If your battery has seen less than 11 volts several times it might be best to buy a replacement (just for convenience if nothing else). Then put maintenance charger on it every month or two or when voltage approaches 11.9-12.1.
Good luck!

Totally understand. Due to the changing climate in how to write and type this seems to be the norm. I had to read the post a few times. Mostly I think he is just frustrated. However, there is a common thread in his situation:

1. Dealer is completely unaware of his issue.
2. Dealer sees it as a "customer issue" and not the truck.
3. Dealer feels a battery at 11v is fine, even though the darn truck is drawing from the battery up to 90 minutes after each start.
4. Dealer doesn't even offer to replace the battery.

This is beyond my ability to comprehend what a service department at a dealership is there for. And don't tell me its for basic service because they can't even seem to get that right. Oil change mistakes, skid plates without the bolts, the list is endless. This battery issue has been going on for 3 years so a dealership cannot tell me they are unaware of this problem. First thing right off the bat is to CHANGE THE DARN BATTERY!!

There, I ranted a little more for the OP................

As others have mentioned, try a new battery first.

The question i have is have you done all required recalls, if any?
Specifically, the wire harness that feeds the 12v battery ?

The frustration is obvious ... you are not alone though. Many user here have had similar issues.

I hate to be nit picky but I had such a hard time reading this because of all of the typos and run-ons. If you're going to post something for the general public to read, please know what you're typing. I can't emphasize this enough. I understand that you're coming from a source outside of the U.S. and may not translate well but it doesn't take long to just proofread what you're typing before submitting. I know I sound like the grammar police and will probably get ridiculed for it but it drives me nuts how illiterate our society is becoming.
Took a few minutes, but I tried to make it easier for you (and others) to be able to help.
I get your sentiment ..but sometimes you just move on to the next post.

Anyhow ....

I am still having the same issue:
- No gauges
- No Lights
- No Start
- Cannot switch the transmission
- Cannot move vehicle.

I have only put on the truck, in almost 2 years, 13,019 miles because I cannot start it often.

The car 12 volt battery shows around 11 volts when this condition show It's ugly head.
I am in a hurry and the truck will not drive.
I told Ford in Puerto Rico that the battery 12 volt does not hold the charge.
They say it tests fine.
THEN WHY DOES IT NOT WORK at 11 volts?

Should I contact a lawyer for the lemon law?
The dealership has had my truck in for this problem for a total of about 5 weeks in the last year.

Is anyone else having this same issue?: no start / no gauges, no shifting, and not able to drive ????????

Sincerely,
A very frustrated Maverick hybrid owner.

I feel the OP might need a better dealer to resolve the issues, which sound like two separate issues causing the problems.

There's a known issue with the smaller dash screen where it would be totally dark, which sounds like his problem. There's even a recall to reflash the IPC to correct that issue, that only occurs on the smaller non-Lariat / non-4k dash. Problem is if they flash it, it may result in communication issues on the bus, if they don't also flash the other modules.

I'd also venture contributor #2 is the battery, which others have mentioned. With the problems, the truck has probably sat too long, too many times, and the far from robust OEM battery isn't holding voltage. Heck, I ran mind down 1 or 2 times detailing my Lariat with the key in my pocket (big mistake), which caused mine to lose much of it's limited capacity, with no cabin lights & deep-sleep messages the norm until I replaced it with a hearty AGM batter for around $110.00 from Weize that was on sale.

Sadly, I think the OP might be in Puerto Rico, which may limit the availability of service departments to bring the vehicle in for service.

You mention you have had the truck two years, so I assume the bad high voltage cable recall has been done. If not, this could cause additional 12 volt battery and no start problems.
