2.5+ years on, the Maverick hybrid has to be considered a surprise success, mainly due to price, mpg and packaging (bed size/space, rear seat legroom, etc).
The 2.5 hybrid has been used in other Ford models for years, so it isn't new to the Maverick and competitors definitely knew about it...
I was kind of being a dickhead about that, true. I am a fan of high quality suspension oils, but motor oil.. motorcraft or mobil1 do the job just fine, for far less, and the change interval matters a lot more than the oil with a dinky 8 oz spin-on filter.
excellent point on the pcv and I think...
yep. hd radio is a digital broadcast on the FM spectrum. it is not siriusxm satellite radio and it doesn't require a subscription.
if you have a maverick with B&O and you don't see a FM radio station listed as HD, try another. small towns may not have stations broadcasting digital, or your...
well, first of all, I checked and Motorcraft 5w-30 synthetic blend is SN+ rated so someone just following the basic maintenance schedule at their Ford dealership is going to be fine. but I just love a good technical discussion/debate despite my earlier short, flippant reply. and I definitely do...
the sync3 unit does support hd radio, so if you have b&o you can support hd / digital FM. there's no license or upgrade, it's native.
the non b&o trucks with Ford connected audio do not support hd radio.
I generally respect your experience but there's absolutely no way I would believe that a particular synthetic overpriced oil would have any effect on pre-ignition.
hey go buy this oil that's low sodium and only $15/quart, it will take care of it. or you can also just warm up your engine before giving it the beans!
one of those suggestions is obvious and one's ridiculous. you decide which. :ROFLMAO:
it is a clever name for the forum, I just wanted to reply and say hi .. dee hidey hi
:ROFLMAO:
regarding your MY2025 order question it really depends. I think MY23 was exceptional, they had supply chain issues and wildly higher than expected demand for hybrids.
whatever they're doing in...
it's bullshit-based.
to a dealer, trade value is based largely upon book value which will be a percentage and indeed the whole market goes up and down. configurations that have gone up in price will hold value better, but for a maverick this is mostly a hybrid thing and we all know hybrid...
Yes to the first.
Definitely no to the second. There are no rental car coverages included in the factory warranty, but you can get it in an Extended Service Plan (ESP).
OP - sorry to hear about your truck. I assume it's the turn signal recall reflash issue given you have a hybrid. Several...
So if you have a separate crossover instead of integrated to the mid, you would install it somewhere under the dash and wire it into the existing door speaker wire before it goes into the hinge bundle, and then run new wire from the crossover to the dash tweeter.
What you have seems to me like...
was the instrument panel lit up as expected on the first 2 failed attempts?
I am not sure if it's feasible to check the ignition wiring yourself, but you can definitely check out the battery terminal connections to sure they are not loose or corroded, and you can check the charge on the battery...
are you using an amp? if so does it have the ability to bi amp components?
I'll be honest, I can't recall anyone posting about wiring like that and I anticipate the wire bundle going into the door to be really well sealed and difficult to wire there.
I have seen a few installs with component...
I have PPF on a vehicle now and I've had it on others previously. It should not bubble like the OP is describing.
they should have at least 1 year warranty on their product and workmanship. take good photos and video, call them, email them pics if they want, and take the truck back to them...
I am 48 and I have not had a flat on any vehicle in my household that required roadside repair or tow, ever. In my entire driving history I've only had 4 slow leaks that I can remember, and tire shops were able to patch them all successfully. Of those 4, once I was told that a puncture was not...
I presume you know, but in case not, a good solution for off-road and black interior is actually an XLT Tremor. I think it is a lot better value than the Black Appearance Package, but both of them have the same interior, except for the 'TREMOR' orange stitching on the seats.
