Had my my '24 Lariat hybrid since Nov and only have 2000 45 MPG trouble free miles but do love it. Just watch the forum here to avoid problems (like bad recalls), there have been few if any problems with '24's.
You mean a Marine Deep Cycle battery verses the starting battery (Used for trolling motors and other electrics). A good possibility I would think as they are made to discharge a lot, but probably won't find one to fit the Maverick's space limitations.
You mention you have had the truck two years, so I assume the bad high voltage cable recall has been done. If not, this could cause additional 12 volt battery and no start problems.
That recall a few weeks ago is your problem. Several members here have experienced similar problems to yours after having recalls done in Feb- Mar time frame. Something about bad software, I understand. @KevCuRaoi has made several posts discussing a fix for a this by Ford sometime as of late...
Thanks for adding to your original post. The added photos are informative. Is the rear most mount at the tailgate easily to removed also? Let us know how it holds up and keeps things dry. This could be a temporary solution until I find what I really want. (I don't think it's made for the...
Just remember, today's vehicles, with smaller displacement, turbo-charged, direct injected, and more fuel constrained engines are rarely the workhorse your 2013 has been no matter the brand. Add in today's connectivity and there is even more potential for problems over 10 years.
If I were looking for a soft cover, I think the Sawtooth might be the way to go. However, I want the added security (however falsely perceived) provided by a hard cover.
Similarly, I have found that "riding" the accelerator slightly can increase your coasting ability without starting the ICE. It will not charge the HVB as much though.
IMO, I think that what has kept competition away so far is the Maverick's price. The Maverick is just now getting to the price point where competitors might be reasonably competitive and decently profitable. Ford needs to be careful that they don't increase the price too much while making the...
Thanks for the interesting info and article. Ironic that my first new vehicle was one of those original Maverick replacements: a '78 2 door Fairmont Futura with the 302. A stoplight screamer that was pretty asthmatic once you got to 55. The 302 was a major factor in the purchase, got a whooping...
It looks like you only got the front carpeted floor mats that come standard with every Maverick. Maybe that is what the dealer meant by looking into it. If your $175 mats are on the sticker, they should have been with the truck upon delivery.
