  1. ECO mode question on Maverick Hybrid

Many people who have the hybrid prefer "slippery" mode for better coasting and fuel economy.
  2. New Maverick Owner?

Had my my '24 Lariat hybrid since Nov and only have 2000 45 MPG trouble free miles but do love it. Just watch the forum here to avoid problems (like bad recalls), there have been few if any problems with '24's.
  3. Rusty Rokblokz screws rusted

You would think for the price, that the hardware provided would be stainless steel. Especially where they are considered a premium product.
  4. What is last update, meaning, they didn’t change my build date.

IIRC and nothing has changed since November, should be about 5 days prior to build start.
  5. Hybrid 12V Battery Charging

You mean a Marine Deep Cycle battery verses the starting battery (Used for trolling motors and other electrics). A good possibility I would think as they are made to discharge a lot, but probably won't find one to fit the Maverick's space limitations.
  6. Hybrid 12V Battery Charging

I know it's pricy, but has anyone tried replacing the battery with a 12v lithium ion? Seems like this should work well with an 80 percent max SOC.
  7. My hybrid truck sucks it will not drive often!

You mention you have had the truck two years, so I assume the bad high voltage cable recall has been done. If not, this could cause additional 12 volt battery and no start problems.
  8. Maybe I should have kept my ‘22 Mav?

That recall a few weeks ago is your problem. Several members here have experienced similar problems to yours after having recalls done in Feb- Mar time frame. Something about bad software, I understand. @KevCuRaoi has made several posts discussing a fix for a this by Ford sometime as of late...
  9. Sawtooth Stretchable Tonneau Cover

Thanks for adding to your original post. The added photos are informative. Is the rear most mount at the tailgate easily to removed also? Let us know how it holds up and keeps things dry. This could be a temporary solution until I find what I really want. (I don't think it's made for the...
  10. My Experience Thus Far & What’s Next

Just remember, today's vehicles, with smaller displacement, turbo-charged, direct injected, and more fuel constrained engines are rarely the workhorse your 2013 has been no matter the brand. Add in today's connectivity and there is even more potential for problems over 10 years.
  11. Inexpensive Low Profile Tonneau Cover?

If I were looking for a soft cover, I think the Sawtooth might be the way to go. However, I want the added security (however falsely perceived) provided by a hard cover.
  12. Is this arm rest cover dog proof?

I think the Mabett cover works and looks great for the price. Our ten lb Chihuahua is all over it and the side pockets on it are a bonus.
  13. Is the Hybrid hood different than the EB hood? (Hood strut installation problem)

The prop rod will be handy especially in a few years when the gas struts go bad, until you get a chance to replace them.
  14. 840 Miles • 1 Tank Fuel • Hybrid Maverick

Similarly, I have found that "riding" the accelerator slightly can increase your coasting ability without starting the ICE. It will not charge the HVB as much though.
  15. Maverick destroys sales of Santa Cruz and every other compact-midsize pickup in Q1 2024

IMO, I think that what has kept competition away so far is the Maverick's price. The Maverick is just now getting to the price point where competitors might be reasonably competitive and decently profitable. Ford needs to be careful that they don't increase the price too much while making the...
  16. Happy 55th Anniversary Maverick

Thanks for the interesting info and article. Ironic that my first new vehicle was one of those original Maverick replacements: a '78 2 door Fairmont Futura with the 302. A stoplight screamer that was pretty asthmatic once you got to 55. The 302 was a major factor in the purchase, got a whooping...
  17. Ford recalls 456K vehicles due to loss of drive power (undetected low battery issue); includes 2022-2023 Maverick Ecoboost & Hybrid

I assume the actual recall details reference both hybrids and EB's. I have not gone on the site.
  18. A question for 2024 maveric hybrid mat purchased item.

It looks like you only got the front carpeted floor mats that come standard with every Maverick. Maybe that is what the dealer meant by looking into it. If your $175 mats are on the sticker, they should have been with the truck upon delivery.
