As far as getting more TRUCK out of the deal, yeah, the Lightning is the way to go, but also still a lot more money. 2 trades and still financing $48k. Yikes!
The thing that worries me about the Lightning is that has such a massive battery, home charging would be a chore. I drive a Chevy Bolt with a 66Kw battery, and it takes like 6 hours to charge at home from empty. A Lightning is double that. For my purposes the Lightning is too much of a good thing. I've split that expense between a Chevy Bolt and a Maverick Hybrid.
I do think that as far as "real" trucks go, the Lightning and the Ramcharger are the way to go. Take a real body on frame truck and convert it to EV, as opposed to the Chevy Silverado EV unibody truck.
