Yes I have the 2024 lariat hybrid with the moonroof. Unfortunately I didn’t take pics or video though when I installed mine. But the trim piece up there does come off just by using the trim removal tools like in the instruction videos. It’s just up there with clips.
I don’t love that this is now the norm either. But my degree of irritation would be based on the amount of the annual fee. If it’s $60 bucks then no biggie as you have to pay more to update the built in maps of old. But if it’s $250 a year, then that would irritate me significantly.
A few years ago I was traveling the Fl turnpike between Orlando and St Lucie. It’s a 2 hour drive. I had to stop halfway to clean my windshield because I was getting too close to not being able to see through it because of the love bugs. It’s crazy when they’re out in full force!
I’m going to show my ignorance here, but why is there a shortage on synthetic oil? Is regular oil used somehow to create it? Or is it because regular oil is in shorter supply so there’s a run on synthetic that the manufacturers haven’t figured out how to keep up with yet?
Did you unplug at the camera or up at the harness by the front unit? If just at the rear camera, any chance the wiring to the rear camera is still creating the interference?
My two cents on the 12v battery issue. This was not limited to just the hybrids. I know this because I have a 2023 Bronco Sport. All kinds of threads in the BS forum complaining about the same issue of going into battery saver mode. And it was actually worse for the BS drivers experiencing it...
I missed one of the connections the first time I installed mine and that caused the rearview camera to not come on. Not sure if that’s your issue or not. I think on mine there were three different connections on the APIM
Go under "Apps" in SYNC4 and see if it has the button showing. If not, this was included in the code changes I posted for the APIM in FORscan, yes. Easy mode can be deceptive and individual changes may not work out as smoothly as intended. I found changing the HEX lines using the little piece of...
i just noticed this picture. You still have a screen showing your drivetrain status. Mine doesn’t have this screen. Is this a FORSCAN setting to get this screen to show up?
Funny how we’re all different in what’s important to us. We have the keypad on our 2023 Bronco Sport. The only time I have used it is when I set up the code. Haven’t touched it since and I’m not even positive I remember the code I set up.
I bought a complete plug and play kit from Infotainment.com. Upgraded me to Sync 4 with wireless CarPlay/Android Auto, and a 12” infotainment screen. I didn’t lose any functionality. Still have built in Nav, still have SiriusXM etc etc. there are a few of us in this forum who have done that.
