Vehicles gets much easier when the kids move out and you become empty-nesters. Can buy all sorts of dumb automotive stuff like I did. Why? Because I can now afford to.

Well… it’s been a very nice ride with you guys. Thank you for allowing me to share my experiences with this mighty little truck! This is my last post on this forum, for as my Maverick has been traded in. 😢 My family has grown and unfortunately the baby car seat just doesn’t fit well with other passengers. So I have upsized to a new Ram 1500 Laramie 4X4. My mighty Maverick Hybrid impressed us with 52 MPGs trips and 700 miles plus of range! The Ram on the other end will be lucky to deliver 20 MPGs 😂… but my family will be comfortable during long trips. I appreciate the advice I was able to find on this forum and wish you all happy Maverick trails! Semper Fi!

I can understand that. I upgraded from an '02 Ram (14mpg) and a '07 Tacoma (17mpg) to my '23 Mav XLT (45mpg). I still love the Dodge, but the Mav saves me $1000 a year in gas money. Enjoy the grown-up truck!

There's nothing more comfortable and smooth, than a Ram on the highway. My previous truck was am '18 CC Hemi. It was so nice on long highway trips. In the city however, it was overkill for me.
Yes it seems the ride is soft, so far I’m enjoying it! Very spacious in the rear too! Thanks

You might want to think about finding a smaller but safe baby seat.

Yes you're right any rebates in this economy is unheard of. They are offering 10% rebates for the Laramie 4X4, a lot of money on a $71,000 truck. With the dealers discounts it was almost $15,000 off the Ram. Plus they gave me $10,000 more than what I paid for the Maverick!
Ram and Jeep have way too much inventory so you got it at the right time! Enjoy the ride.
