How do you think it would fit with the Ford bedmat. Would the difference in height be an issue? I did not even know this divider existed. Very nice.

I don't have the bedmat...but I do have the modular bedliner in place. It looks to me that there is still about 3/4" gap between the rail and the modular floor.

When at the most forward position(stored out of the way up against the cab) is the bed size still a considerable amount? Or is there a gap between bed/cab and the divider?

Thanks I have a spray in liner. I ask because my F 150 has a bed extender and it would not lock into place with the bedliner. I really like this. I will have to cash in my bottle of loose change.

If you left the divider in place, you could snap it into the very front-most cleat hole...and I think there would be about a 6" space that you would lose.

I decided to splurge and abandon the old 2 x 4 style of bed divider that I had used for years in my old S-10. So I used some points and cash and got the Ford version.

Notes: At first, I thought my bed was sprung, as the divider absolutely would NOT lock into place. The Ford worldwide instruction sheet is the usual Ford "quality."

In the pictures, you can see the 4 torx bolts, 2 on each side. After going from side to side trying to figure out what I was doing wrong, I decided to loosen all 4 bolts and jiggled it a bit and it went into place and the locks were able to be used. There is a picture in the instructions (not included...you have to go print them yourself) that shows there is something inside the track that will allow the adjustment.

I am not sure what Ford was thinking when it included the cable. Nothing in the instructions really talked about it. I can see it useful for keeping a gas can or something similar in place. Anyway, here are pictures as someone requested.

The Ford Logo is on both sides of the divider (not just a flimsy single piece). Shipping weight was 21 lbs. Now that the width is adjusted properly, it is easy to both slide it forward and backward in the track and to remove it.

Edit: The black wire you see in some pictures is run from the LED bed light. I tapped into it and will be installing some LED strip(s) somewhere in the front part of the bed so it will come on automatically whenever the LED light is on (by switch or by the automatic stuff.). Not sure yet what I will do, but I wanted to get the wire in place while I had the rails and bedliner apart.

The more I look at this, the more I like it. Much better than the 2x6 I'm currently using.

How much was this?
I had 660 fordpoints left at the time (the $3.30 discount) and I used AFF20 for a 20% discount at accessories.ford.com.

This thing goes in and out of stock rapidly. I left my phone number in the form and missed the first text that it was back and it was out of stock by the time I responded to the text 3 hours late. So I registered again and a couple of days later, it was back in stock and I nabbed it.

I noticed that some dealers will install Ford accessories and if I wanted to pay $12, they'd install it...and an installed bedliner showed as in stock while the uninstalled was not. My problem was that the nearest dealer for an install was 150 miles away, so I had to wait for the "no install" version to get back in stock.

Well, the 2x6 is definitely more cost-effective...but with such a beautiful truck, I felt it deserved this extravagance.

I initially made a divider out of a 2x2 frame with a piece of plastic pipe in the middle to keep it light.

Ford's trifold OEM cover. Was the only thing I could get the dealer to throw in during the negotiation last year. Has held up well with 30k miles and multiple family trips. Really recommend it.
good to know, what negotiation? I’m assuming you bought a floor stock unit above MSRP?

I also installed the divider a few weeks ago. I ditched the cable (which is a safety device to keep the divider from flying out going down the highway), and I am using a motorcycle disc brake lock (u-lock) I had laying around to secure the divider.

With the lock in place, the divider cannot be moved or removed. I did it for theft deterence.

The lock fits perfect, does not rattle around

Floor model - yea. Over MSRP - no not really. By the time we talked through my trade in and using ford pass points/dealer markdown on this cover to zero it was a wash. Drove 1000 miles to get it spent 8 hours in the dealership but for me was worth it vs potentially still waiting for one.

Ingenious. Pipe makes it easy to grasp and keeps the divider strong and much lighter than all lumber.

This is awesome. I've been waiting for something to use my Fordpass rewards on and had no idea this thing even existed. Just ordered one with the AFF20 discount code.

That really is a nice piece of kit, but I can't justify the cost myself.
