You have to access it under the vehicle to check fluid levels of the transmission. For me thatās difficult without a lift. I have them check it at each oil change now.
I just rolled over 90k miles on my ā22. Ever since 55000 we started noticing that transmission fluid was being released from the valve. It was enough that the dealer caught it and suggested a transmission check before the warranty was over. They determined nothing was wrong but the vehicle just...
Drove 1000 miles to Alabama to pick mine up over Memorial Day weekend in ā22. Have 56,000 miles on it so far. Countless family vacations/national parks, multiple towing ventures including through the mountains, and daily mischief. Zero complaints and tons of smiles.
A lot of proās / conās go into this. The footprint of the Maverick is desirable for me living in the city and needing to get out of tight spots. On the half a dozen times that I have had to tow it has done amazing. Including 700 miles through the TN mountains hauling a uhual at capacity (roughly...
Sorry for dragging up a dead thread - yet I am really interested in the towing capacity this may bring. Is it fair to assume that a larger intercooler, engine, and turbo would give more torque and ultimately a larger tow capacity? Potentially 5k? Or, is the body weight and footprint a constraint...
Thatās fair - yet did the xl have the option for manual rear window and driver door keypad? There may have been some options that became standard but I believe others have been dropped across board.
Which brings the thought that a lot of this should have been standard to begin with. Or at least...
Besides the mileage and usage argument I would have to disagree with your umbrella statement. Not only was our ā22 less MSRP but it also came with features that have been taken away from newer models. Kinda crazy that a first year had more options than a 3 year old variant...
Thanks! It was a lot more of a project than I was prepared for. The first half butted variation worked but didnāt keep anything cold. I ended up using aerosol flex seal as a base to keep it water tight than a layer of spray foam insulation(drywall stuff) for an insulator material. A quick spray...
This is the ford branded trifold. I believe it is the same as the bac-flip brand as well.
the cargo rails are how the divider snaps in. It uses the two cleats that come with the rail. I purchased a second set so that I would still have a pair to use. It does not interfere with the trifold cover...
May be an unpopular opinion on this thread - I LOVE the swing boxes. I had gotten one to use for tools and liked it so much I grabbed a second one off of marketplace here and converted it into a working beverage cooler. Yes they stick out some from the wheel well but I can't imagine the storage...
40k miles after just under 18mo ownership. I wrote zero on the poll as I assume recall work does not apply to this question. I have put mine through the paces of towing, 1000 mile each way trips, and everything in between with no issues at all. Will be interested if there is a correlation on...
I am coming up on a year of ownership this month and 30k miles.
I average in the mid 400's with 70% highway driving and 27/28mpg. This is basically filling up once a week for my use.
If long distance highway driving only I can get close to 500. We have done a half dozen family trips where...
Floor model - yea. Over MSRP - no not really. By the time we talked through my trade in and using ford pass points/dealer markdown on this cover to zero it was a wash. Drove 1000 miles to get it spent 8 hours in the dealership but for me was worth it vs potentially still waiting for one.
Ford's trifold OEM cover. Was the only thing I could get the dealer to throw in during the negotiation last year. Has held up well with 30k miles and multiple family trips. Really recommend it.
I got mine from Varsity Ford parts out of ann arbor for 238.70. They sell the extra cleats as well for 84 a pair. I did both at the same time so I didn't loose access to having a set of sliding cleats.
